But you can't use reshade via Freestyle in Destiny 2, right?

Adds support for HDMI 2.1 VRR. Guys... Does this mean NVIDIA official HDMI 2.1 now? I'm using GTX 1080 with HDMI 2.0b cable. Do I need to change my Graphic card to RTX 2xxx Series and change my HDMI cable to 2.1?

Adds support for image-sharpening from NVIDIA Control Panel Added Image Sharpening control to the NVIDIA Control Panel->Manage 3D Settings page. Increases the level of sharpness, detail, or clarity of images in games and applications
Very cool.

So if you want to use Integer scaling and sharpening, you must keep the GPU scaling box unchecked? So what does that additional GPU scaling option mean when on/off for Image Sharpening?
Good question, also if I dsr, which I do 95% of the time, I have to disable this scaling option too? Or is that one and the same thing lol

downloaded and tested this driver, but first i saw the sharpening feature which is useless if you are using reshade, don't know why nvidia don't care about performance and stability and put garbage instead, driver performance and stability are a little bit better than 440.97 crap, but i revert to 436.51 which is the best value until now ( best performance and stability ), next...

This driver supports the game Red Dead Redemption 2 ??
There is a profile for the game but it doesn't seem that the driver is Game Ready. https://i.imgur.com/2wIgyJ7.png

I like the new novelty features that come wit the new drivers but at the same time a novelty is what it is and so will soon find myself not using some of the new features. BTW: Wolfenstein The new colossus come with a latency monitor. As does Assassins Creed Odyssey. 🙂

Is this the same sharpen they introduced into Freestyle recently or something new?

It's the same just now accessable on driver level without needing to use GFE freestyle

this driver brings GSYNC support to LG OLED C9, E9. For now the GSYNC is 1080p and 1440p 40hz to 120hz, 4K: 40 to 60 [when HDMI 2.1 GPU comes out it will be 40 to 120] Also, If you check Nvidia GSYNC monitor compatibility list, only these LG TVs/Monitors will be HDMI compatible. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/ Time to upgrade my C6 to C9.

I'm hooked up to an HDR TV and what I've found is that it works, just not with HDR enabled.
Working for me with HDR10 on a LG 34GL750 34

Did a very quick eye test of sharpening in a few games by dropping res from native 1080p to 720p. Sharpening works, including games not supported by Freestyle (as it should) but... Couldn't see any difference whatsoever between having GPU scaling on and off. Either something is bugged on my end or it only works on new Nvidia cards. edit: could be because I have "perform scaling on GPU" set in the Control Panel and it duplicates this setting so it was always ON for me. To see any slider changes you need to restart the game. DSR sharpen changes without restarts but not this sharpen filter? Seriously?

Hello guys, i cannot find the lumasharpen filter, i used it with reshade but i cannot find it in nvidia filter panel. Some idea ?
You need to download ReShade filters separately from what I understand, they're not bundled with the driver. Curated shaders by nvidia: https://international-gfe.download.nvidia.com/GFE/GFEClient/ReShadeFilters/v1.0/Curated_ReShade_Filters.zip More "non-curated" shaders here: https://github.com/crosire/reshade-shaders/tree/nvidia Don't know if Lumasharpen is included in the curated pack but it's available on the github collection.

The sharpening feature is a useless crapware in any case. (Nothing really needs sharpening, ever...) It's an indication that they are out of useful ideas.

If you actually read their description of the feature, you would realize the use-case, namely in combination with their scaling to improve performance. Render the game at a lower resolution, use upscaling (which results in a "softer" image then native render), and then apply sharpening to make it look less soft. It can be a decent compromise over doing naive scaling without such improvements, or having to turn graphics way down to render at native res.

Thanks, but i have already downloaded and put it in the ansel folder. I usually use the colorfullness and lumasharpen filter. i can find colorfullness but not the lumasharpen in nvidia filter panel.
I see. It might be because you want to enable it in a "competitive" game. Readme file mentions that some ReShade filters are unavailable in competitive titles. I just tried it myself and in Dota 2 Lumasharpen is not listed but in Witcher 3 I can enable it.

Nice, NVIDIA has nor certified my Lenovo Legion Y27q/20 as G-Sync Compatible. By the way, does anyone else have this issue: https://abload.de/img/shadowxej7q.png Windows drop shadows look 8-bit.
