Open Issues in Version 391.01 WHQL As with every released driver, version 391.01 WHQL of the Release 390 driver has open issues and enhancement requests associated with it. This section includes lists of issues that are either not fixed or not implemented in this version. We were probably pretty even, it takes a while to copy paste all of that from the various PDF sections and then a bit of editing for formating and line breaks that doesn't carry over correctly from PDF to HTML. ๐Ÿ™‚ It's mostly for the otherwise non-listed (EDIT: On the NVIDIA driver page.) fixed and known issues since the GameReady details are usually part of the driver page directly and for the PDF these are near the top together with any SLI and 3D Vision profile changes whereas these sections here are a bit further down but I consider it good to have it listed and raising awareness a bit to what else the driver does as not everyone will be browsing through a lengthy PDF file and it's simpler with a summary like this directly on the forums here. EDIT: For this driver in particular there's a few additional shut down fixes and tweaks such as retaining the desktop color settings and for the known issues section I think the DOOM one is new and possibly the Titan V G-Sync problem. (And a OpenGL fix in general for that buffer mapping issue?)

Let's see if this one will fix the hitching. I honestly have little faith till the next major branch though.

With all the crying on the Steam forums I thought they might have performance improvements for Hunt: Showdown. Works fine for me on a 1080Ti but anyone with a 970 or equivalent are struggling to even run it on minimum.

DX12 is RotTR is still broken. Top-notch job, nVidia. Simply beautiful.

Just tested that without any issues! Continue testing those drivers right now. I'll report back later for further analysis. ๐Ÿ™‚

BF1 do not start for me with this driver. Will try ddu and a rollback.

The Vulkan betas are the best drivers out there. I'll try these out but not holding my breath.

Oh yes! Driver for FFXV! Let's hope the performance has vastly improved.

tested ROTTR on DX12, bad artifacts, screen flashes, large pixel like flashes, stutter, inconsistent frame rendering tested GEARS of WAR 4 DX12 texture flash, random freezes and then recovers, inconsistent frame pacing tested Ashes of the Singularity, Escalation DX12 runs fine except for newly introduced longer load time than 388.84 as well as logs a crash dump tested Wolfenstein New Colossus Vulkan runs fine but crashes on exit, creates dump file I'm reverting to 388.84 in comparison to 388.84 these drivers seem more unstable. In fairness the ROTTR Dx12 issue was there with the 388.84 drivers. However, all 390 and 391 series drivers have proven unstable, slower, and introduced a myriad of issues. IMHO There is a very iffy and unstable feel in all the 390/391 drivers so far, makes the system feel not solid. Little things such as long blank screen pauses on boot, strange behavior closing or opening some applications, long load times on some games sections, etc Something just feels "way off" with these latest drivers (390/391) last usable driver for me was 388.84

Luckily we get a Demo release in 2 days. That'll probably show performance metrics better then the benchmark.

You all are welcome I tested and suggested 388.84 in few threads. ๐Ÿ˜‰
