No PAX here. Creative drivers work great.
Yeah they are pretty stable on win 8. 🙂

Still messing around with settings atm. I need to sort the Bass out. In some Games the Bass is plain annoying. It's like there is a constant earthquake going on.

I think i got it sorted now. I disabled the Bass in SBX and gave it back in the Equalizer instead.

Got 2 profiles at the moment. http://www.mediafire.com/?9ctc6yrmprq0k2q Sound settings in Windows is set to 5.1 Surround. I'm using AKG K601 Headphones, so ofcourse it might be different for others since mine are a bit low on bass by default. SBX Bass is disabled and compensated in the Equalizer, because SBX Bass causes some strange issues in specific Games. Kinda wish it was possible to have different profiles per Game which automaticly changed depending on the EXE that's being loaded.

In for example WoW there is Bass all the time, like a 747 going by at very high distance. It's really annoying. It's an issue with the game i'm sure. But ye, at 15% it's barely noticable.

What may work for someone might not work for you, it's pretty tricky. I have a nice headset which only fault is the muddy bass, so I had to fiddle with the EQ. It took me a couple of days, but I finally got the sweetspot and now it sounds great. It also has to do with what you want to do. For example, if you're listening to music, then you may or may not want bass redirection. If you're gaming, then you may want BR if the game doesn't support a discrete subwoofer channel and no BR if it does. Then you need to consider if you're using headphones, speakers and their properties. Sharing profiles when there are so many variables may not be very helpful.
