I've reverted to 442.74, the new driver broke BDO. I could get up to server selection, but at character selection all hell breaks loose. Screen going black a few times in rapid succession, then the game crashes. With the old driver all is working again.

theres no teaching fools. Same people that complain about new windows updates breaking their stuff are the ones that use shutup10

Maybe, maybe I should also try a clean installation. Usually upgrading plays out fine, but this new one also has a new feature after all. Maybe next weekend.

Get nvidia developer edition driver if you want vulkan 1.2 support ( google nvidia developer driver and you will get links from nvidia).

Hmm, did a quick test this morning with Heven BM, worked fine. Now I tried BFV and it wouldn't even load to UI, it would just close a few seconds after trying to open. reverted back to 442.74 and loads fine. Did clean install with both. This is on a GTX970.

This driver has a confirmed issue with DX11 games and nvidia sharpening, perhaps that was the cause of your issues @EdKiefer and @LesserHellspawn

Are you using Image Sharpening in the NVIDIA Control Panel? If so can you try disabling it and then try launching the game again? Let me know if that works.

Anyone having an issue with Overwatch with this driver?
If you have Image Sharpening enabled in the NVIDIA Control Panel, then you should be able to launch the game by disabling this feature. It is a known issue. We are working on a fix.

Can you tell me what NVIDIA Control Panel settings you are using and what hardware you are using?

do you get it now? it's know issue, already confirmed by nVidia reps. if you don't use advanced settings that doesn't mean the driver is working as it should and the rest of that are having problems are idiots
its probably a merge regression for something they already fixed back when sharpening was integrated in the first place, i think driver development is an absolute nightmare since a new driver model gets integrated every 6 - 12 months.

um, this driver is getting benched with control, so check whatever it is you've changed in driver settings and have got running that forces itself into game processes.

These drivers should not have been released right now. A lot of people will use the new nvidia sharpening feature and it is now breaking games in this driver.
the majority of people don't even know what nvcp does or touch it.
