astavra12:

Am I the only one experiencing msi afterburner being unable to change power limit after the update?
Probably the only one who didn't restart the system and AB after updating the driver?

Darren Hodgson:

Wow, I tried the Super Resolution option on setting 4 and watched a 1080p60 YouTube video in Edge (v110.x.x) and saw the power hit 320 W monitored using GPU-Z. Even on setting 1 it uses 320 W. Turn Super Resolution off and GPU power usage drops down to 99-102 W and, to add insult to injury, the video I was watching didn't look any different. Not that I could see anyway. Seriously, what is the point of this feature? It seems like a massive power hog for very little noticeable improvement. If there is any then it is not worth three times the power draw in my opinion. Why does this feature draw such much power?
I don't think it is supported on Edge yet? Or I am wrong?

I did bro but thx anyways *Edit Back to 528.49 (Can confirm I can change power limit with 528.49) Most probably nvclean causes it.

Tested and it's working on up-to-date Chromium based browsers (Edge, Opera Dev). I'm not sure about others (Brave etc.)

My Rog strix 3080 10gb is reporting 140-160W in msi afterburner monitor. Interesting tech, it of course need optimization, i will only activate it when browsing, it worked even on P sites for me

Good to know. I can remain on Firefox.

Photoshop 2020 keeps crashing immediately after launch after installing the new driver. Went back to 528.49 and the program is working fine once again. This driver needs more time in the oven.

big problem for me after updating with 531.18 : After playing some games , I have NVidia container process take 6-7% on cpu ๐Ÿ˜Never had this problem with 528.49 or other drivers . Rolling back to 528.49 and no problem at all. (issue seems to be confirmed by many users on official forum)

Once again late to the party: Expanded and re-compressed DL (644 MB): [link removed] Branch: 531.18 - r530_99-13 528.49 - r528_37-5 Haven't tested these yet, but I'm sure I'll be reporting back.

Assassin's Creed Origins crashes the driver every single time you go underwater on an RTX 3060 Laptop The game freezes and eventually closes, and this error shows on the Event Viewer: "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." Going back to 528.49 fixes it

This horizontal scrollbar in Gsync section is a monument to how things always should be. Never change or improve anything in your software, Nvidia.

What were you expecting? It's a purely spatial video stream upscaler running on GPU h/w as opposed to a dedicated low power VP. The quality gain was always going to be miniscule while the power consumption hike would be huge.

I had a problem with 528.49. It crashes Agents of Mayhem before the game starts. I hope this driver fixes that.
Itโ€™s fixed in the new driver.

Just checked and mine is at 0% so no issues here. Wonder what could be causing it?

oh no it's not that blasted nvtopps again is it?? Update: Well, it's not nvtopps this time, now it's _NvGSTPlugin.dll (NVIDIA GAMESESSION TELEMETRY PLUGIN) causing trouble! Update2: Took ownership of and deleted _NvGSTPlugin.dll while waiting for hotifx.

Can confirm. Seem to be connected to either the CPL or the Nv tray icon.

This is "fantastic", now 1080p30 Youtube videos look like "crhystal sharpe 2160p15".Really grreat. Thank you". ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you can improve it to get the feeling of 2160p30, thank you! ๐Ÿ˜€ (No visible artifacts though, so that is a +). 2160p120 would be a bit too much to aks, I presume... (at least with an RTX3080...) Edit: Ow hs|t! The stats are showing x1.25 speed with a lot of dropped frames....
