Interesting that the default driver setting for Fortnite is 0.50 Sharpening (NVIDIA Recommended it says). Who on earth uses that much sharpening, infact who uses it at all as it messes up Anti-Aliasing. Sharpening shouldn't be enabled by default.
This also happens with Apex Legends. https://i.imgur.com/1mYYmKh.png

I wondered this too last night only to learn It already supports Reflex! - https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/news/nvidia-reflex-apex-legends-out-now/ - you just need to activate it using a launch command line at the moment.
It's actually enabled by default according to that article and since the October 12th Apex update. The command launch option is only needed if one wants to disable the feature.

These drivers are not fully compatible with the Club3d CAC-1085 Display port to HDMI 2.1 adaptor and the RTX 2080 Ti. I'm directly connected to a LG C9 OLED with current firmware 05.00.03. This driver removes 4k@120Hz and 4K@100Hz resolutions. The resolutions are restored when rolling back to driver 456.98. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

Get repeated crashing to desktop with 141 in reliability history when I run these on WD2 and WDL on 2080Ti.

i've seen that control ultimate edition freezes when using freestyle, reshade or any graphic overlay when in dx12 mode. It doesn't happen instantly but it will.

Take it up with Club3D, the only one responsible for an adapters compatibility is the adapter manufacturer.

After, doing a clean install and using DDU, I tried installing again same way I always do: installing just the display drivers on D drive... Same problem: "Installer Failed". Then, for the heck of it, tried again on C drive: Worked! For some reason, telling the installer to extracting on your non-OS drive prevents them from installing correctly.
Why were you doing that in the first place?

+1 wrote this before in other 456.XX driver thread... since i can't switch back to older drivers (3080 card) please have a look at this there are a lot people experience that problem... "Daniel Stancu 10/16/20 Same issue here, only I am using Firefox. If I play a video on youtube or a movie on Netflix the screen goes black for about 10 seconds and then recovers. In event viewer i get the same error with "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." My video card is an RTX 3080 and the latest nVidia 456.71 Driver. Uninstalling this one and installing 456.55 does not fix the issue. Did not tried older ones until now with this video card There are no issues whatsoever while playing any games. Before this i had an GTX 1080 with 442.74 installed and no display driver crashing or any other issues while playing any kind of video. C CRAVEN232 10/23/20 3080 user here, I am also getting this issue where both my screens turn off then come back on 5-10seconds later. This is only happening when I am solely browsing the internet not when I am using the computer to play games with W Will Bonasera 4 days Using 1080 ti, not sure which driver version I’m using since I’m not presently at my computer. But I’ve also had my Nvidia display driver crash with a black screen and recover twice in October. Both times I had chrome open with a YouTube tab. J Jonathan Davin 3 days I have RTX 3080 FE and when using chrome I see my GPU clock boosting so high to only display videos on youtube. (it goes from 300 to 2000Mhz for core clock and 500 to 9000+ for memory using MSI afterburner) when I play videos, it randomly turns my screen black with kind of a GPU restart. Then my screen comes-back after few seconds. it only happens using chrome while playing videos (youtube, netflix...), never in games or other applications. scenario: start chrome -> go to youtube -> play vidéo (full screen or not) -> screen turns black -> GPU light and fans turn off -> GPU comes-back -> I'm back to youtube with the lowest res video resolution. config: i9 9900k - RTX 3080 FE - DDR4 16 3200 I can't say if it's Nvidia drivers issue, hardware issue, or Google chrome, but still only happens while using Chrome, and I know games are a lot more power consuming. hope this helps diagnosing the problem" There is also a thread about that problem in german 3dcenter forum... so there is a problem...
Happened to me too, I have a ftw3 ultra 3080. It happens only when i refresh a facebook page with a video autoplaying on the newsfeed in background. The browser's window goes black and nvlddmkm.sys crashes. It does this on chromium/edge only, but not on firefox for instance. In the very moment the driver crashes the frequency spikes to 1800mhz.

Manual curve all fine here on 3090.

I got a really nice boost in fps on the titan xp with this driver especially at higher resolutions on single threaded games. So far no issues though I play mostly older games and haven't felt compelled to purchase any of the newer titles for a couple years now.

We are working with Samsung on this issue.
I am having this issue as well - is there anywhere we can track this issue so we may know when a patch or hot-fix will be available? Thanks

I have already let Clud3D know about this. I suspect that Nvidia's made changes to DSC in this new driver that prevents the CAC-1085 from recognizing a DSC stream from the 2080 Ti. As far as your comment about it being the sole responsibility of Club3D, that is an interesting opinion. So, based on your comment, if Nvidia updates their driver, breaks or impairs a game that was working perfectly before their update, it would be the sole responsibility of the game company to correct and / or work around Nvidia's new driver to get their game working correctly again? I guess that means there is no longer a need to report any issue with Nvidia drivers for software OR hardware that new drivers have a negative impact on.

Back on the green side. Is this the best they have? Can you be able to make a hdmi audio driver capable of turning off my bt headphones and sound (ie spotify) keep playing on hdmi output? Or keep playing when switching between hdmi outputs? Is that hard to do? Maybe you could check amd drivers to see how it's done.
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/282/282392.jpg
IMO the drivers have been lacking since the ampere fix. Usually a new launch brings a good driver.

the audio driver has no control nor responsibility over output switching

Just changed gpu from amd to nvidia. Same system, same windows, old nvidia problems. It's related to signal detection. Amd do this way better, not perfect but better. And my xbox 360 from 2005 do that fine too.
