Thank you for your constructive input, we appreciate it.
On a more serious note, this seems to fix the short black screens upon launching games with G-Sync. It’s been an issue for a few months now, glad to see it finally resolved .
As with 456.38, Adaptive Sync will not "stick" with this driver after a reboot. It still works, but I have to toggle the "Enable settings for the selected display model" check box in NVCP after each reboot. It then functions perfectly until the next reboot.
Even though my monitor is not "Certified" it has always worked perfectly up to and including 452.22. I only have 1 display - LG 38WK95C-W FreeSync Monitor - DDU Safe mode used - Full driver package installation (minus GFE).
@ManuelG I've just submitted a feedback form.
ManuelG:
Thanks. Got the feedback
The Hotfix driver seems to have solved my issue as well.
First one seems kinda important overall, guessing it's recoverable (Or the tried Windows key, ctrl, shift, B or how it was.) but while shifting to borderless is happening full-screen is still widely used and popular plus not every game uses things that benefit windowed or borderless mode especially earlier titles.
(Well that'd be a majority of D3D11 titles overall really without third party utilities to force said support of newer features.)
Don't know about RTX but Fortnite as one of the most played games so no wonder that would be resolved ASAP.
Divinity 2 further improving H-GPU Scheduling even if it has to be done on a per-title basis. 🙂
On one of my systems, the upgrade broke Freestyle (error in MW, "not supported" in Dishonored, which I _know_ supports it).
DDU and clean install of the hotfix fixed it.
hello i have msi rtx2070 gpu and lg 27gl650f 144 hz gsync monitor hooked up in displayport and i have a tv samsung 55q95t hooked up hdmi port in the gpu.but i have not used monitor and tv together. i am using only 1 primary monitor lg but when it detec my samsung tv lg monitor begins flicker in the desktop.if i disable gsync it will became normal.but why would i buy monitör if i cant use it.i always saw people telling how bad amd drivers but trust me rtx2070 gsync are worse.anyone has that problem. tried evey new driver 456.38,456.71 and 456.55 same problem.anyone has solution about my problem please help me.
With the 456.71 driver, the "Configure Surround, PhysX" entry in Control Panel (Standard driver) vanished after reboot (it was there before reboot just after driver install) after installing this Driver on my GeForce GTX 1080 (Laptop). On my Desktop with GeForce RTX 2080 Ti it's still there, though.
The problem didn't exist with the 456.55 driver or earlier for me.
Update: It seems this "Configure Surround, PhysX" entry seems to be vanishing after some reboots for me and re-appears after other reboots. It's really odd. Has anybody else experienced this?

If you run GPU-Z is physX have checkmark?
Maybe run the standalone physX installer if that is the case.
I had that happen once and it fixed the missing checkmark but not sure with NVCP as I never open that tab normally (no physX games, except BL2 now that I think of it)
@ManuelG
I'm using my Windows 7 PC to game on a Samsung Q9FN TV connected directly to the TV with a DP to HDMI converter. (Club3D CAC 1080).
Display modes have been separated into groups of 4K x 2K, 1080p and PC for some time, but since 1080p and 1440p modes have been included in the 4K x 2K group I can no longer use 120Hz, the maximum presented is 60Hz.
The only modes that now present 120Hz are 1920x1200 and 1680x1050 or below, none of these are placed in the 4K x 2K group.
I was able to use 120Hz with 1080p and 1440p some time ago with older drivers and since then hoped it would get fixed some day, but there has been no positive change.
Can this be fixed please so 120Hz mode is available at 1440p and 1080p.
Thanks.
ps I also used to get the 1080p 120Hz option through my AVR to the TV, connected via HDMI. (AVR is Denon X4400H)
The 1080p 120Hz option is gone there also, it starts at 1680x1060 res or lower.
pps Gfx card is a 1080ti.
update the firmwarewoops, thought this was the 2.1 adapter. have you got a second display connected and active?
