Hmm notebook, guess the full release will be later today then, interesting. 🙂 EDIT: Ah there's the PDF now. Game Ready:
Game Ready for Microsoft Flight Simulator This new Game Ready Driver provides the latest performance optimizations, profiles, and bug fixes for Microsoft Flight Simulator. In addition, this release also provides optimal support for the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pre-patch on the public test realm as well as for A Total War Saga: TROY and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.
Fixed issues:
Fixed Issues in this Release [Shadow of the Tomb Raider][DirectX 12]: The game may crash when launched if Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling is enabled. [3037544] [Death Stranding]: Texture corruption may be observed during gameplay on GeForce GTX 16/RTX 20 series GPUs. [200631405] [Path of Exile]: Black square corruption appears around characters.[3038439] [Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed]: The game crashes when playing in a water level. [3028931] [Forza Motorsport 7]: The game starts to stutter after racing a few laps. [3035005] [Zhan Ge Jing Ji Chang]: Corruption occurs in the game when played in the Tencent mobile game simulator. [200631684] Several games randomly freeze for a few seconds during gameplay. Affected games include Assassin's Creed Origins, Planetside 2, Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. [3038632] The NVIDIA Control Panel does not display the native resolution of some HDTVs if the timings are invalid. [3060459] Some displays may show a green tint when Windows Night Light is enabled. [3038686] Snow appears on the display upon waking up the HDMI monitor. [3039265] [Notebook][Turing] Display may show pixelated corruption on waking notebook from long display off [200633139]

That's because the game itself is a trainwreck of a port.

Because the problems have nothing to do with Nvidia.

From what it sounds like yes, memory issues, shader compilation issues, in-game bugs and then the ports performance and stability problems on top of framerate and timing related errors and so on. I would think that's mostly on the developers to fix and while the game pulls on some GCN and RDNA tech it doesn't do that much better on AMD either it just needs more work. Which is a bit of a thing considering it was apparently intended to ship earlier this year but got delayed for additional polish assuming that info has any truth to it which if this current version is what they got after six - seven months instead of a early 2020 launch the game must have been in a very non-releasable state though it probably needed a quarter or more of time still going by how much has come up after what, week or so since launch? EDIT: Even with D3D12 NVIDIA (and AMD.) might be able to do a few things but it would probably only work around some of the issues or be a temporary or partial fix until the game gets updated and the various issues can hopefully be sorted out properly. If the publisher grants them enough time and resources to do so and whatever relationship exists with the studio that did the PC port outsource work, hopefully it does get a chance though and support won't just be terminated early. Happens but the game deserves more than a botched port and quickly dropped post-launch support so hopefully they get at least a few months to try to mitigate and fix the worst of it.

You dont know that.

This probably wont happen. Im pretty sure Sony isnt happy with all the negativity going on with their poor release.

That is certainly true, but TBH i have seen far worse releases of games. Dishonered 2 for instance. atleast this is somewhat playable to a certain degree. Dispite that, it does require fixing the game as it is far from a representative version.

You also don't know whether the HZD issues have anything to do with Nvidia, but you expected it to be mentioned in this driver. The fact that most of the issues are identical between both AMD and Nvidia tells me it's on the dev here. If Nvidia does provide any fixes, it would be as a courtesy.

Installed this driver. Was on previous driver. HZD tried to optimize things. Got BSODed with stopcode watchdog timeout many times. With or without Hags on. Reverted back to previous hotfix driver. Game started without issues and No need for re-optimazition. Is this driver or game related I am not sure. Can some else test? I am on a system with 4790k@4.8ghz and 2ghz on a 1080ti, 16gb ram. 5 Year old hardware but never got issues like this before.

Fixed issues: Snow appears on the display upon waking up the HDMI monitor. [3039265] @ManuelG Thank you for fixing this bug~ : )

I'm leaning toward HZD being a rushed port, because Death Stranding uses the same engine and it runs pretty flawlessly. Once of the most recent drivers even address texture loading in Death Stranding, which i would hope helps any texture issues in HZD also, but there's definitely some other issues going on from what i can tell (i havent played the PC port, i already own it on PS4 and am not sure if i want to pay for it again lol)

[SLI][World of Warcraft Shadowlands]: Character images may flicker when SLI is enabled. [200647193]
Very interesting that they are finally taking a look at this. This has actually been an issue for a while with WoW and not specific to the new upcoming Shadowlands expansion. In my backup computer I'm still running 3x GTX680 in SLI and while the game works great overall, even making good use of all 3 GPUs, the character image in the top of the screen will flicker sometimes and it can be distracting.

I think most that game problem need to be solved by the developer, I still sitting on 442.59. I probably wont bother upgrade them cause game I have installed and are play work fine, no reason to change it less I start playing some newer game. and newest game I play is Bloodstained ritual of the night Wouldnt mind if NVidia fixed the glitch UI when enabled gpu scaling. then again I dont use it and probably has been fixed

I was thinking the same. Probably not much Nvidia can do with that one though until the developer fixes it. Hell I tried using 492.xx and it ran much better/smoother than the latest drivers, but that cache file it makes while "Optimizing" came out to be 22 MB instead of 575 and the loading times were like 5 minutes long...all of them. 5 min to get into the menu, 5 more to get in game, etc. EDIT: Just fired up Horzon Zero Dawn with this driver. It was bad before, it's much worse now. The mouse lag is just insane now. Unplayable. Tried all the Low Latency modes, made no difference. Back to 451.85 for now. Afterburner in-game bench result:
Driver 452.06:
18-08-2020, 18:39:25 HorizonZeroDawn.exe benchmark completed, 2392 frames rendered in 46.672 s
                     Average framerate : 51.2 FPS

most of which are client issues when run on wddm 2.6+ drivers, which are equally as present on radeon systems.
