Waiting for tests of these ones, 442.59 is so smooth in games!

then unless you need the certain fixes this driver provides, leave well enough alone. GPU drivers are like BIOS updates, unless you need the certain things they fix, then leave well enough alone if you are currently happy with your performance. Least thats my opinion.

Same shit driver, i think i'll skip all 442 drivers, back to 441.87.

I try new drivers, regularly. I dont give a stuff about Red Dead Rododendrum and I don't care if it works or not, so I'd like to distance myself from Koul 220's remarks, which are as relevant as t"ts on a bull....

I talked a lot before about 442 drivers, and now its covid19 time no more energy to waste, but you can do some benches and you'll see again by yourself.

both are new drivers, but 442.77 is beta vulkan driver, and 442.74 is standard whql.

I smell hotfixes in the air 🙄
[Doom Eternal]: The game frame rate drops when using the Steam in-game FPS counter. [200593988] This issue also occurs with non-NVIDIA graphics hardware. Definitely.

Thats not a bug, @Unwinder has explained what the heck is going on there countless times, but it sinks in to nobodies head, its the same reason he disabled the Overlay for DooM 2016 on Radeons back in the day to stop the foolish radeon users claiming he was nerfing their cards. PS: Geforce started using the same render queue and had to have it disabled too because it reduced FPS.

Vulkan API 1.1.119 R442.74 (r442_70-2) / 26.21.14.4274 (3-13-2020)
Curious, 20.3.1 comes with Vulkan API 1.2.133.

But some people do! then they think that means there game will suffer too, then we have people that dont know what margin of error is, then we have people that like to pick things apart and go on about it, dont forget about the "i'm" right and "everyone" else is wrong even when "everyone" else know said person is wrong... Ignore them or better yet use the lovely ignore function we got. since a certain other forums closed the ignore function has had more use then usual atlest for me. As for the 442.74 I sticking with the 442.58 There is nothing wrong with them all my game play as they should be if not better. no reason for to change them. They fixed the supposed "security" flaw from the drivers I was using and it has the framelimiter in the nvcp.

I just copied it from the open issues for W10, from the pdf released with this driver. I also read it as using the overlay, not the fps counter, so not a problem at all. Thanks for the info tho, didn't know that.

first mr smart, it's 442.59, then benches are not made just like that , i'm sure developers are not so idiots, also, i give you an advice, framelimiter and all same useless things are just marketing crap, just leave all by defaults it's a way better, and buy a powerful rig, it's like cpu and gpu overclocking, u just f.a.k your pc for very little gain and more energy consumption. finally, if you ignore people and they do the same, the forum will be dead, don't think you'r better than the others, or maybe you r , but it's not good, for sharing.

So, as you know or not: According to a post on CrackWatch in the Bethesda version of the DOOM eternal game you can find the non denuvo version of the exe in the game files - patched now but already in the wild. For me it was a unique occasion to test the theory that DRM protection is bad for performance. I bought and downloaded the Steam version - it plays fine... Checked the non protected exe - it plays smoother - not much frame gain but "It feels" better. Done with the driver posted here. Tested on my wife as lab rat: I didn't tell her what version was with the unprotected exe and the same result: she felt that the unprotected version was playing much better. Not that I encourage anything illegal here - it was just an experiment...

It was confirmed with Assassins Creed Origins. There is a version without (not bypass) Denuvo, and the game loads faster and run smoother. In any case, each game can have a different implementation of Denuvo.
