sooo nobody having an issue booting to a black screen with these? im recovering from it as we speak. almost had to use an image from like two days ago which would have killed me. Got a lot done in the past few days >< System restore wouldnt go through. could boot into safe mode but regular booted to black screen. Removed the card in safe mode and im back in so gonna give em one more shot i guess. good times w/ good ole nvidia. kinda like shadowplay not working in exclusive fullscreen. Or desktop capture not working with SLI/surround. OBS can manage and they dont have billions in revenue and hundreds of employees but i digress. They shouldnt be working for free they should be making nvidia beg for their superior programming skills evidently.

It doesn't update it to 1.4 it merely fixed a compatibilty problem with HDR diaplays going blank on Windows start up when running at 144hz whilst using display port. If you have a 980ti after updating the firmware Windows 10 still doesn't give you the option to enable HDR unless your using HDMI. I did purchase a club3d 1.4 DP cable and tested it myself. I challenged Nvidia on why HDR isn't working on display port and their response was that the update doesn't change the hardware specs. If you want HDR over display port you need to upgrade to a 10 series card. And I'm on the latest firmware for my C32HG70.
Thanks for that info on the 980Ti and HDR on the DP. I bought an active DP to HDMI adapter over a year ago and wasn't sure about whether it could work, now I know for sure.

Works very well on my PC. With 397.64, ACO would get weird pauses every now and then but it's fine now.

Can you fix the bug that make Set up Digital Audio always be on the TV ? I disable it everytime and it re enable it self After every Windows Restart ! Even When I didn't even install the Nvidia Audio Drivers and it's High Definition Audio is disabled in Device Manager ! how many things to stop this from detecting HDMI Audio ?? Also when I turn my TV off LG OLED E6 , it makes a mess with my Audio output and nothing works correctly until I restart ! Including the Microphone and everything else. I have HT Omega Eclaro a 185$ PCIE Sound Card and Nvidia drivers are the only things messes things up !

It's your choice of what to use as a default audio input. You can make the selection in Windows Sound settings.

Great driver so far, I don't have the silly Gsync stutter anymore when Alt+Tabbing between windows.

Similar issue where my taskbar items become unusable/unresponsive - including the sound icon - and programs wont launch. Rolled back to 398.11 fixed the issues. Strange because all previous drivers work fine (38x & 39x series drivers) - something really wrong with this particular driver. . .

Isnt this just for the 27 inch model? As far as I know people tried to rename the file, so that the 32 inch model accepts the firmware, but then you end up with Windows identifying it as a 27 inch Screen (which wouldn't be a real problem). Others bricked their screen with the same method. Did you get your 32 inch firmware from a specific location based samsung support website?
1016.2 is for the 32 inch 1019.1 is for the 27 inch. Free sync 2 range update i think

yea. just woke up, blue screened over night. whocrashed points to the dirver. rolling back now. shame cause the prior few drivers cause my steam link stream to freeze. Thats the much lesser of the evils though since different encoding options existi n the meantime. Was hapy when i saw this one fixed it but rip.

Oddly enough, I have also had three system restarts over the past three to four weeks, always overnight when I have been leaving my PC on downloading games from Steam, and never during the day when I have been using my PC and playing demanding games. They have been infrequent enough to not cause me immediate concern and the error points to a driver (0xD1 Bugcheck DRVER IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL) issue rather than hardware but considering how few blue screen errors I've had prior to that in total since building this system in June 2013 then to have three over a period of weeks seems strange. Of course, my hardware is relatively old now but it has always been stable and the only issues I've had are with software, usually Windows itself and unstable drivers. In many cases, these issues have been resolved by updates to the software and drivers. Not had a bluescreen restart with this driver yet though which I installed last night. My PC was again left on overnight to download Life Is Strange: Before the Storm and a few other large updates on Steam. I can always tell if my PC has restarted if Steam, which is set to start with Windows, has a cleared download list. That was not the case this morning as the downloads which completed last night where still showing in the Completed list. I've also had a few instances of the taskbar not responding after playing a game and exiting to the desktop after a prolonged period of play. This seems to have started in the last month and although I am on Windows 10 Pro v1803, I updated to that over two months ago now. This non-responsive taskbar issue doesn't always happen and when it does then restarting Explorer from Task Manager resolves the issue. That could very well be a graphics driver related issue since it always occurs after playing a game but I do use a number of Stardock utilities, including Fences, and I wondered if maybe that is the real culprit as the desktop usually refreshes on exiting a game and the Fences windows reappear but not when the taskbar becomes non-responsive (Fences reappear after I restart Explorer though). It could even be Corsair's iCUE software. But PCs are by their very nature problematic to isolate issues like this. It could be any number of things causing the issue and short of doing a clean boot and retesting everything, I can say for sure what is causing these issues, only that they are rare enough to not be a problem... yet.

These seem good on my system, no issues to report but I don't leave the system on overnight so can't comment on that.

Does the AIDA64 GPU monitoring bug only manifest itself on Windows 10 or are older OS affected as well?

@AndiWandi, wich bug is that? can you give me some info. I didn't hear about that before.

I appear to be making progress on the corsair link/iCUE bug that causes black screens on x79/x99 Normally I come downstairs in the morning to hear my 1080ti fans going full whack knowing full well that its black screened over night but the last couple of days the fans havent kicked it resulting in worrying temps however I now have got this in the event from when the black screen occurs until the time I hard reset. https://i.imgur.com/4gH0LhC.png

Have you updated iCUE? It's up to version 3.4 now with some fixes but also a couple of remaining issues so not entirely perfect yet. 3.3 didn't even get any patch notes at all. Although if it happens with the regular Corsair Link software too well that all goes out the window since it's something not specific to just iCue and it's alpha/beta status and work in progress. EDIT: Wonder if it's hibernation or sleep mode bugging out again.

-Using power monitoring in GPU monitor tools (e.g. AIDA64) causing micro stutter. Wondering if 7/8.1 are affected.

Anyone compare these to the last drivers?
