Downloaded the 390.65 [few days ago] and got ODR and Digital Audio settings not saving issue so had to revert back to 388.71. The issue was confirmed on geforce forums. Now, i downloaded 390.77 but really want to know if the issue is fixed for or not before i install this set. Thanks.
Better to just test it yourself, use DDU to install previous drivers and install these ones fresh. See how it goes and report back.

Hi, Is still 385.69 the current recommended driver for Pascal GPUs? I just bought a GTX 1060 and I don't know which driver to install it? Thanks in advance for any help...
I don't have a 1060 but a few members on here including myself are finding the 388.84 drivers to be pretty solid. Might want to try them out.

on 4x Titan XP quad SLI these drivers score consistently lower than <390 on 4x Titan V these drivers score consistently lower than <390 on single Titan XP these drivers score consistently lower than <390 on single Titan V these drivers score consistently lower than <390 On stability, these drivers have caused app crashes and game crashes, not that I've never ever had a crash before, but let's just say I haven't seen it since one of the 385 drivers. So these drivers and the 390.65 are similar in instability so back to 388.71 till they quit monkeying around

I've had inferior performance for Gsync in windowed mode / borderless window since I've got a Gsync screen tbh. Every game I tried was crap. That's why I'm never using it... and why I'll cry tears when they at some point will kill off exclusive full screen mode. Will give these a try today since I skipped .65
That's interesting. I've had the same problem in the past including stuttering in some games but last time I tried it it was fine and dandy. I have no idea why this got fixed but it did.

Acer XB270HU (144Hz screen). And I can't even remember which driver version... it's been a consistent issue across all of them. But I can live with it ๐Ÿ˜‰
I have the same monitor so please pick a game for me to try and I'll check for you ๐Ÿ™‚

CaptaPraelium:

Those of you who are suffering stuttering, and have the updated microcode for spectre, I'd be interested to see how you fare if you roll back your BIOS. Intel have reported instability with the new microcode and I have reason to believe that it is effecting our frametimes. https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2018/01/microcode-update-guidance.pdf If you are able to test with and without the microcode update, and present frametime graphs of comparable situations, I'd really like to see it. The power monitoring issue still remains even with the old microcode, though.... So leave that disabled.
this is specific to this driver set, I have no microcode/bios or windows update for this specific part. So the comparison is strictly apples to apples on 4x Titan XP quad SLI these drivers score consistently lower than <390 on 4x Titan V these drivers score consistently lower than <390 on single Titan XP these drivers score consistently lower than <390 on single Titan V these drivers score consistently lower than <390 On stability, these drivers have caused app crashes and game crashes, not that I've never ever had a crash before, but let's just say I haven't seen it since one of the 385 drivers. So these drivers and the 390.65 are similar in instability so back to 388.71 till they quit monkeying around A lot of folks are invoking these fixes as gospel, but I've also seen that a lot of people actually don't understand how these patches work/don't work. ..and its not a fix if it hurts performance.

No, it's Intel playing fast and loose with performance numbers. So now that they're being forced to setup proper separation of user space versus kernal, and maintain security, the true performance of their architecture is showing. Just my $.02

Well NvfbcPluginWindow still hangs on shutdown, I don't install GFE so don't understand how it is being installed since it's part of video recording from what I can research.

Is the green flickering bug in The Division (dx12) still present?
Yes it is.

HDMI sound bug still here. I have to disable HDMI sound on both Samsung TVs I have attached to my gpu after every reboot. Stability and performance not tested yet.

This driver do not remember/save settings of rgb/ycbcr/ scaling and others in nvidia panel after restart of the system just like 390.65 at win 8.1 x64... nvidia... this bug is terrible. It never happened with the older drivers, never. Going back to 388.84.
Can you list specifically all settings are not getting saved on reboot (not just others)?

Thanks, I'll see about this driver, but yeah my systems weird at times. I get major slowdowns even when I got the wrong overlays running... mit this have to do with "single display performance" mode VS "multi display performance" in driver?

GroinShooter:

Yes it is.
thanks... @ManuelG In the last 2 official nvidia driver threads incl. 390.77 i didnยดt find the issue (The Division texture flickering) in your "issues and updates" post. Is the problem solved for nvidia? Thanks....

cryohellinc:

"[GeForce GTX 1080][G-SYNC]: Performance issues occurred with G-SYNC windowed mode enabled. [2032623]" Just tested, the issue is still there on 1080Ti. Windowed mode + Gsync for Windowed mode = Massive FPS drop.
Thanks. I'll look into this

So @ManuelG, when is SLI coming for Assassins Creed: Origins? ๐Ÿ™‚
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/174/174022.jpg
Hitches from 390.65 remain in this one. I just got them after waking the monitor from sleep, on the desktop. http://i.picpar.com/gXEc.png Note the GPU usage, this is when running GPU-Z render test while these hitches are present. Again, the only way to get rid of them is via rebooting the system.

Yes, when is SLI coming for Assassins Creed: Origins?! As i wrote about in this post in the link below, sli DOES work, it simply needs a proper profile, to eliminate the graphical issues that occurs when using sli... NVidia SLI Guide
