GroinShooter:

I swear, considering the amount of times that has been said, by now all games should run so smooth there wouldn't even be a word nor description to define the smoothness in games.
Some drivers are more, from what I saw over these years, its either vram latency tweaks or system ram/cpu optimizations for faster swap data, this sometimes breaks few unstable systems, and those drivers that have it more aggressive can stutter (or not look smooth). I now noticed similar by rooted android phone, if you change main scheduler it suddenly becomes all smooth /fluid, try another and it has lag spikes and stutter scrolling or lags by switching apps..

Manually chosen 10 bit output color depth on DisplayPort is still reverting to 8 bit after OS reboot on these.

Noticed a performance increase with these drivers in Wolfenstein 2. I hope Machine Games get their act together and re-enable asynchronous compute in the game, as it was never a source of instability; at least not for me.

It will be funny if NV's driver dev team will be able to close the gap _again_ despite id's best efforts to sink their h/w.

G-sync window mode problem is back in Destiny 2 and stuttering with these drivers that were fixed in 388.31 and a driver with gave smooth gameplay in a variety of games. These drivers are a no go for me. I'm reverting back. Edit - Seems like I had to use DDU in safe mode to get this driver to behave nicely. D2 problems are once again resolved.

Never had anything like it. You don't use DDU do you?
Like what? Downsized windows? Do you have 4K screen?

Yeah it would be. No matter how much I love id software and their games this AMD deal is a bit shady. I played Wolfenstein on several drivers at 1440p (all settings maxed apart from uber settings) and my system had zero performance issues. Since then they have disabled async for Nvidia along with several performance drivers for vega( which is basically console optimized code). It's bullshit really.

No but my screen is larger than 1080p and I never had any downsized windows because of new driver installation.

All games feel smoother now. My coffee tastes better too. Also, I don't get constipated anymore and my hemorrhoids are gone.

for people with maxwell that are having bad performance with wolfenstein II just disable shader cache for the game in nvidia control panel
data/avatar/default/avatar34.webp
Any point of installing these over 388.31? 388.31 is working fine for me on doom vfr.

Probably there is no issue on 1440p or with screens without scaling.

does this driver fix the frame drops in shadowplay ?

Let's try DDU, these and see if the micro-stuttering in AC:Origins is still there (doubtful but you never know).

AC:Origins seems to be running good , and no noticeable stuttering as i can see, im using RivaTuner to cap fps @ 60, ingame Vsync off and frame rate limiter off too ,plus my hemorrhoids have also retreated back to where they came from 🙂
