I believe the issue is more likely to occur with high bandwidth video playback. I've tested that Costa Rica 4K sample vid on YouTube.
Yup. 0 dropped frames but the video feels stuttery...
I have a 1440p monitor and I "force" youtube to set the quality to 1440p. I never noticed this until I manually set the quality to 4K.
LE: And just tested in MS Edge and there are no issues there. It seems to be only in firefox.
I tested a few games 22-10-2 vs Radeon Pro 22.Q3. I'm getting better framerates in games overall using Radeon Pro 22.Q3. (Gear5/Control), Gear Tactics for example. Think i will stay with 22.Q3, it has the same opengl extensions. 279.
Alessio1989:
untill they re-add GL_NV_depth_buffer_float, opengl will not work so good on rpcs, we cannot do nothing about that. and a lot of other emulators I bet would love it back too.
Well RPCS3 openGL issue is only some weird textures, but Vulkan works perfectly fine so i use that. As for Xemu, the only 3 games so far that runs awful are the Buffy the vampire games and Brute force, but other games i have work perfectly fine. I don't see what they could do, just have to wait until certain opengl has been added back and improved from the AMD team. But i would send them a message about it 🙂
Xemu has a regular compat report, and it's more feasible for them to target ROM specific work than for the gfx driver developers. I would definitely mention this to their team to make them aware.
ReLive wouldn't work on an APU system regardless.

Amernime Drivers breached that limits 🙂
But sadly, the steam deck drivers don't work properly as expected in windows environment, throws errors failed to load the graphics driver in device manager.
Tested these on my G513QY Advantage Edition laptop and they are better than 22.10.1! This driver is super solid on desktop and mobile for me with zero issues on both. Another set of near perfect drivers from AMD for me.
Happy gaming!

Oh yay, dodgy drivers. Couldn't you use OBS under SteamOS instead? The idea of running Windows on the Steam Deck (forgoing all of the other linux kernel power / perf opts specific to its hardware) makes me cringe.

Wanna Cry? Don't worry bro, I have tissues here.

Lacks of VFR Recording and exclusive features like AMD Relive, you think people gonna look for it? 🙂

Yeah, sounds like it's a statement for someone who doesn't want their system being harmed by modded stuffs. Be chill /s

lol ok buddy.
For what it's worth, OBS supports VFR as far as I'm aware, I'm not really sure why anyone would really want that for recording / streaming but hey. It also supports Instant Replay with a bit of setup. I'd happily walk you through this if it'd mean you don't bin all of the opts you get with SteamOS.
In any case, best of luck in your endeavours.
The green icon one is older.
Use the universal black icon version. It's also inside the extracted drivers.
Ty for this.
Some oddity...
When the game is in focus the video on the second monitor doesn't stutter but as soon as I tab out of it, it starts stuttering like crazy.
//edit
And black screen again.
Disappointing.
These drivers seem stable so far, but I do have HW accel disabled in Firefox.
Playback in youtube at 4k is smooth (my monitor is 4k), but yesterday I noticed my GPU clocks were a little odd. Playing that Costa Rica 4k vid was fine today, only using about 44Mhz on the core, while yesterday I was watching youtube and the core clock was running at whatever I set the min MHz to be (500 etc...), a lot more then what it needs.
There is a delay with VLC, if I close it and try and open another video file fast it just wont, needs a few seconds to close off the last one.
So far so good, been running these since release day and not had a single issue so far, only played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II single player campaign so far and it runs flawless 1440p ultra settings.
lol ok buddy.

Amernime installs far too many custom certificates for my liking.
That's WHQL parser, not custom certificates. In V7 release WHQL parser are eliminated, similar to AAF Optimus signature like, so no red warning "Install this Driver Anyways"
And installation went smooth as official like in newer release.
If you compare previous Digital signature, this is different
So, you can use Steam deck in "dock" mode with full KDE desktop
Why do you want crippled performance etc.?
What crippled performance? If there's anything crippling performance it's Valve's Windows APU drivers. Even then it runs the same or better than SteamOS in games. So what crippled performance are you talking about?

I don't know about the latest versions.
But in the older ones, after installing this there are a bunch of amernime certificates in the windows certificate store.
