No DX11 boost for RDNA1 still. Of course not...
Tried the hack, and it made a HUGE(49fps to 79fps, looking at starting town from dock) difference for AC:O. Looking at the sea caused bad stuttering, so a no go...
OpenGL is not beta anymore.

Forcing AF x16 in Radeon Settings still fucks up the OpenGL speed.
Normally DirectX11 and OpenGL performances are equal (Valley Benchmark). But if I set AF x16 in the driver - the performance of OpenGL drops significantly (140 -> 90 FPS) while DirectX11 remains almost the same.

Neither Vega users will see these optimizations!
Well, let's keep our drivers updates with
Amernime only! 😉
With Origins, only use Dxvk, they are godsends work, for DirectX 11 games.
Amd only care for Navi Gpu's.
I like version Adrenalin 22.8.2 Optional.
VEGA Pro and DaVinci Resolve AMD VCE hardware encoding has been fixed.

AMD finally fixed it!
AV1 hw acceleration is still broken in potplayer.
Meanwhile I emailed potplayer support and somebody replied that it's basically AMD's problem. They don't care so this is a bug that must be fixed by AMD.
"AMD is working with the game developers of Saints Row™ to resolve issues using DirectX® 11 and Vulkan® API. Users are recommended to launch Saints Row™ with DirectX® 12"
Saints Row supports DX11, DX12 and Vulkan?

Unfortunate that DX10/DX11 boost for RDNA1 is still not official.
As of NimeZ (with DXNAVI) and DX11, the game stutters only ONCE in various place when the shader cache is created. Afterwards it's perfectly smooth. If you load up your game now and go to the same sea, it won't stutter anymore.

For AC Origins and Odyssey, DX11 (with DXNAVI) is now faster on RDNA1 and 2 than DXVK.
For previous gen GPUs, DXVK is significantly smoother than DX11, but you might be losing a small percentage of performance on averages.

Well, AMD doesn't apply forced AF from drivers in DX11. Or DX10. Or DX12. Or Vulkan.
The driver AF works unfortunately ONLY in OpenGL, DX9 and earlier.

It could be a good explanation of the mystery. But when I use DirectX9 in the benchmark - the result is not affected so much by forcing AF x16 in the drivers (just like DX11).
And I'm not sure that AF could cost so much performance loss (unlike AA).
Personally I'm still sticking to NimeZ 22.7.1 drivers for DXNAVI improvements.
Last night, for the lolz, I tested Crysis 1 (GoG, DX10, 64 bit) and Crysis 1 Remastered (EPIC, DX11).
Using 720p + RSR from 1080p
1st image: Crysis 1, DX10, Very High, 4xMSAA
2nd image: Crysis 1 Remastered, DX11, Medium, no RT, TAA
The Remaster is so superbly optimized, my God. I'm also clearly CPU bottlenecked by my R5 3600.

New driver, new PotPlayer beta build - nobody has fixed the exception.
But there is a solution. We can avoid using the external LAV video decoder or switching to software AV1 decoding (as alternative fixes). It's enough just to check this option:
And voilà:
P.S. WOW! Actually this option fixes another big problem I had as well - the exceptions when I use SVP (direct interface) and I try to jump forward or backward. 😎
