Tried God of War with this to check if vsync (+VRR) is still broken - which fortunately is fixed. But this game seems to have bad shader compile stutter with this driver vs. 23.20 drivers. Which hopefully means that they are further improving the D3D11 driver.

Hey guys ive literaly got my new pc 2 days ago iam new to AMD drivers how are you guys instaling a new driver? Do you need to unisntall old one or can you just go and install new one on top ? Thanks
To be sure, follow the procedure as follows, download the driver you want, download the ddu and extract,go in the start menu, run, write the msconfig command and press ok,the system configuration tab will open, choose the boot option from the top of the tab,in the boot option, choose safe, press ok,reboot,as soon as you enter safe mode, run ddu,if it's the first time you run it by itself,it will disable updates, otherwise,in the options, choose to disable automatic driver downloads, run the second option, cleaning without restarting, and as soon as it's finished, run again the msconfig command and this time disable the safe boot option, reboot and as soon as you enter windows install the new or old driver of your choice,in this way,any error of the ddu or of the amd driver program will be eliminated.Sry for my English.

Always use DDU in safe mode as well as not doing so files when in use will not be cleaned up, and may corrupt drivers cause some odd issues, i feel like everyone just runs it without safe mode these days then runs into problems.

I just tried Portal 2 and I think I have shadows. On the floor, walls, and on my gun:
PORTAL 2 - Direct3D 9 1.9.2023 г. 2_03_01.jpg
But I tried it with the last UWP modded driver.
Seems they finally took my Bug Report from ... 2020 to heart. I'll still test to see if it's fixed on RDNA1 also

FSR2 + 100% rez scale means Starfield can use FSRAA also, which is dank.

I would set my FSR in wow always at 99% cos it just looks better then 100% where it disables it self and becomes blurry mess

Display driver amdwddmg stopped responding and has successfully recovered. Halo Infinite . Worked fine with UWP 4001

There are 2 issues identified so far , so I will be testing if its because of them. 1. Loading OC profiles from a different drivers version will cause your pc to crash and having to force reboot, this is nothing to do with the overclock stability ,just the OC profiles are not working correctly with this version. 2. Dynamic resolution scaling caused TDR, this is a "known issue" with Starfield ,however its also a feature in Halo Infinite and I just had a crash so I am wondering whether its because of it ,will test shortly.

Had to restore my OC settings after installing the driver. No issues at all for me. Driver works perfect for now

No issue restoring my OC profile made quite a while ago - sounds like you need to DDU and fresh install.

Making a new oc profile with every driver ver in order to work properly is just silly.

I guess it's pointless to complain about tuning settings being reset on every reboot since it's most likely an OS issue started by a flaky update. If only I knew how to check the "Event Viewer" for a clue...

My OC settings get reset to default and I have to load my profile with every driver update.

That's par for the course. Those settings getting reset on every reboot is the actual issue.

He's talking about driver settings like FRTC being reset to default values at every driver update. You have a different issue with the tuning settings. If you are using windows 11 insider builds it's a known bug. If you are running normal windows 10/11 version idk what to tell you. Submit it as a bug report to AMD.

Probably bug since couple of drivers but video playback or wallpaper engine while running engages freesync at 97hz every couple of seconds on desktop. It does not help to turn off freesync for wallpaper engine i do not have VRR enabled in windows either

No, I was talking about my overclock settings in the performance tuning tab getting reset every driver and I have to load the OC profile I have saved to get my overclock back - I thought this was just normal behaviour these days so I haven't reported it.Although, I did have my FRTC reset on this driver as well and reported that as a bug.
Undying:

6800xt just arrived it has the same high idle power usage as 6700xt before it
Looks like you likely have something running in the background that is using the GPU keeping the consumption up a bit and it isn't the fault of your GPU.
