I tried RAGE 2 on Epic for free and i can confirm on Vega there was the flickering too, i thought i was artifacting but i tried other games that put 99% load and none, its a driver bug, not sure if it was since 21.2.2 or not, even if i switched settings, disabled freesync etc. Oh well, at least Doom Eternal still runs good at max.

@boombastik will recheck this with driver guys

Ok, this happens on NVIDIA and consoles too, it was reported to the devs some time ago, but as this game is no longer updated I doubt it will get fixed, so the editing .ini file is the only solution, at least for now. EDIT.: there could be other issues like this one [youtube=IinL3h3BaAo] which editing .ini file does not fix.

fekter:

AsyncComputeDisable=1, in the settings.ini will fix the flickering. At least for my RX 580.
thank you sir.

@passenger This edit also fix the low pperformance with the Rx580 and vsync enabled?

No the curse is still there, AsyncCompute tweak helps just with vsync off.

No issues with my Xbox one X and Series X console(s) at all. I do not play this game on PC though.

I'm not getting this issue on PC myself. Could be a number of factors there. It's a known issue though, and recognized. Could be a combination of settings and OC's. Console I'm not sure about. Have X1X and PS5, but this game I own on PC.

Works really fast for me with RX Vega and stable, plus yes HDMI / Displayport audio is back. I am on DP rn. Using Air boost 64 bios and some reg tweaks, but still, boost frequency seems consistently higher (even with no undervolting). I managed to play Prey without stuttering at around 120+ fps on High at 2560x1080, vsync off. Everything works, and everything is in harmony =) If anyone wants i'll send them my current tweak to try & reproduce
What tweaks?

Already posted in DXVK thread. In fact, it has nothing to do with Windows drivers

I agree to some degree 😉 But ... as DXVK is still used in some cases to "cure" driver issues I thought I might also post it here.... Hope by doing that I didn't kill a kitten or something... 😀

I mean you could try at the very least.

There is a bug that breaks video recording with the default driver settings.
ReLive.jpg
With "Audio Channels" Auto and "Separate Microphone Track" Disabled (default settings) - the driver makes a corrupted video file with size 1K and the recording stops immediately without any errors. I have configured 5.1 speakers system in Windows sound settings (Creative X-Fi card). Adrenalin driver can't record multichannel audio. One solution is to change "Audio Channels" to Stereo or to configure stereo speakers mode in Windows sound settings. If I want to keep multichannel audio recording - then I have to change "Separate Microphone Track" to Enabled even I'm not going to record my microphone ("Record Microphone" is Disabled). I want just to record my game sounds. This workaround causes an additional useless audio file with a separate microphone track (with silence because I don't use my mic). This happens with all available drivers for 6800 but I can bet that it happens with older drivers too. I have reported this a few versions ago but it's not fixed yet and it's not in the "known issues" list.

@The Creator I'm not experiencing this myself and can create videos with Audio on Auto / Track Disabled and it simply creates a stereo recording. I use the integrated Realtek audio sound in 5.1 mode (DTS and Dolby Digital enabled). This is also what Nvidia Geforce Experience did on my old rig with my X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro in 5.1 - Dolby enabled, always down sampled to stereo in recordings. I always used Daniel K modded support pack for this card, far better than the Creative default drivers with many fixes and enhancements plus fixes for AM4 chipsets, have you tried? http://danielkawakami.blogspot.com/ Also noticed selecting Audio Boost to High increases overall recording volume which i use. The recording quality is different compared when using my 5.1 speakers or my USB headset, headset as the source is noticeably worse quality. @yeungl No crashes here, provide more info to assist you. I always select the option to do a clean install.

@yeungl Games crashing at start sounds like an overall system stability issue, the random signal loss is a different issue, have you tried the card in another system? Or another card in your system? If you get the signal issue, try a new Displayport/HDMI cable, try disabling your internet/Lan/wifi on desktop, uninstalling all Radeon Software drivers with DDU and restart with default windows drivers see if you get the same issue on restart, doubt software will be an issue tho. If you've tried the above troubleshooting then try returning the card for replacement of some kind (if you can get anything now). The 6800 XT requires a 750w PSU and probably 850w if overclocking, not alot we can recommend for these types of hardware configuration issues unfortunately. Requires a lot of troubleshooting.

Sounds like your psu is too weak to handle your current config. List your components starting with exact model of psu.
its the driver.

Why does nobody believe that AMD has a bug? There are no bugs with my sound card drivers. I have tried normal drivers from Creative site as well as DanielK drivers (right now I'm with the last ones). I use 6 (5.1) analog speakers (Creative GigaWorks S750), I don't use Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect with SPDIF output. Adrenaline driver claims to be able to record multichannel audio and actually it does but with the option "Separate Microphone Track" Enabled. Somehow it can't mix multichannel audio with a microphone mono channel (some mics could be stereo). And it's funny that I don't use the microphone at all. Have they ever tried to record video on a multichannel configured sound system?!? And it happens not with some weird (not well tested) combination of settings, it happens with the default Radeon settings. And of course - no errors at all.
