Is there a trick to getting the latest version to create the dlls in windows? It has instructions for creating them in linux, I can only find premade dlls in older versions. Running windows 10
The same builds of the DXVK libraries for Linux / Wine can be used on Windows. Just grab them off https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases. Wine Proton bundles are also a good source of prebuilts. As proton builds tend to be whitelisted by anti-hack software.

I went there, it seems the newest builds (1.70 +) dont have the dlls in them but you have to create them from the files you get. I cant create them because im not running linux. I unzipped them and searched and could not find them. Thank you so much for helping me out
Unpack dxvk1.7.3.tar.gz [rather than the source distributions] -- then check under "/dxvk-1.7.3/x64/" or x32 respectively (depending the game's bitness).

This driver has a problem with "BLACK MESA - Definitive Edition". I play the game with vsync on. With previous 20.12.1 driver I had 75 fps constantly (because my monitor is 75Hz and my 6800XT is very fast). Now with 21.1.1 I have fps varying - from very low like 3, 45, 50 to 75 max at some moments. It's not normally working vsync! With vsinc off I have 120-200 fps (constantly over 100). Workaround is to set vsync off in the game and to use "Advanced Sync" and FRTC to 75 fps in drivers. The problem is that I can't set FRTC for one game only but it's a global setting. I have tried other DX9 games - they have no problem with vsync (including HL2).
Just use Chill 75-75 - Done

Awesome, that got me the dlls. I put them into dayz folder two ways, renaming them and not renaming them. Dayz would only launch if i renamed them and it did not seem to change anything in game. Still super low gpu usage and cpu usage. Not sure if the dxvk dlls work if you rename them to what the game wants to read The game still gets 100+ fps, but only using 30 to 50% of the gpu. and it will go from 100 to 200 fps.
Dayz is more cpu bound than gpu and its always been the same it is not the drivers or your hardware just the game engine

I'd rather use previous 20.12.1 driver. Anyway 21.1.1 has no any advantages (or fixes affect me) to me over the previous one.

My advise? stick with the newer one. Also it must be done once (in Game Tab just set for it Chill), and no turnig back then 😛 No biggy....

I have a strange issue with this driver. Now settled by Afterburner, its great, but somehow it overrides Red Dragons 5700XT bios fan curve. Ingame, fans spinning at 85% and more, like the temp limit is set below 70C.
dont use radeon settings for performance or fan control and leave it locked .. use afterburner for the curve dont use any vram oc while on desktop browsing or it will flicker fan curve works perfectly now

Fan settings work just fine within the wattman there is no need for an afterburner.

BoobZ:

Not on my end mate. Powercolors Red Dragon 5700 XT fans spins like jet engine without afterburner custom fan settings. Maybe its specific model issue with this driver.
And how do u fix the memory overclock flickering? Everytime i overclock memory with fan curve (afterburner) i have flickering, in desktop and at gaming... How u fix that?

SpajdrEX:

Aye, we are aware of that issue.
Whats interesting (or not,) but a fanmade patch called quake2xp, if i saved in Comm Center also crashes the driver completely on Vega 56 (20.12.1 and Win10 20h2) whenever i click down into load game and it has a picture of comm center..... very very strange because a single 'saveshot' shouldn't cause a timeout. Maybe its just a legacy engine issue that made it to rtx? Or a rtx model ported in? Either way since that game and Quake 2 RTX apparently works fine on NVIDIA, can we acknowledge it is a driver problem quake2-related? Also on any windows 10 build past 1607 (i tested) i can't play normal quake2.exe, whether it's the original, 3.24 unofficial patch, or kmquake2, without the mouse eventually flipping out needing the game to be restarted, but i don't think it's AMD only issue, because on a Intel i5-4210m hd 3000 laptop, certain games on any build past that crash too (the SDL community port of Forsaken, ProjectX - play for 30 seconds and it hangs).

dont bother overclocking the vram anyway gains are not huge and extra heat can be a lot for no gain

Easy install here on 20h2, but I really wish that AMD finally fix Freesync not working with 10-Bit Pixel Format.

Used the ddu and installed these just fine but didnt test the drivers yet. Few Valorant matches and freesync is working fine.

Crypto-mining: the 21.1.1 AMD driver is incompatible with the Phoenix miner used by Nicehash. The Phoenix miner is the most profitable AMD miner, and was working ok with the previous 20.12.1 driver. The 21.1.1 driver is also "non-WHQL", so it's probably not a good idea to be using if/when crypto-mining.
Dont talk about mining in here very sore subject for some, myself included

if you make a custom curve it brokes the zero rpm feature

It does and sets to 33% but that is also the case for an afterburner.

Some displays such as the Sceptre C series or Samsung™ Odyssey G9 series may experience an intermittent black screen on Radeon RX 6000 series graphics products. errrrr i have samsung crg9 49 inch 120hz panel which is predecessor of G9 and 6800 xt and i still cant use sleep ffs. every time monitor wakes up from sleep it loses signal after 5 seconds and only fix is alt f4 and restart. wtf is this sorcery ?

Have an C49RG90 and it was fixed for me. For the older driver my workaround was to have AIMP in the foreground before shutting down the monitor (I never turn of the main rig) and there was no signal loss after turning the monitor after a longer period of idle e.g. during the night. AIMP kept the GPU in somewhat woken state (hovering aroung 20-30 MHz from time to time and a slightly higher memory clocks (120-190 Hzish)).... However - like I have said --- for me it was fixed with the 21.1.1.
