Surprised we got a secondary driver in June. Was expecting 21.7.1 but eh, I guess Doom Eternal RT patch was high profile enough.
Nothing that interesting in this driver to make me switch from 21.6.1 NimeZ modified driver.
Yup still there since Radeon driver 21.3.1 to now (21.6.2), random framerate drop/stuttering for a couple of secs locks to 55 fps/115 fps with vsync on or off, four months going to five and AMD did not fix this.
Note: This happening to random people with 6000 series GPU's since 21.3.1 drivers, going back to 21.2.3 fix the problem. Microcenter Agent said this is the reason why people are returning 6000 series GPU for RTX 3000 series.
Regarding those radeonsetting.exe crashes, you guys should also check VC runtimes - you may have some corrupted or old files - so you can try to reinstall VCredist packages
It could be good but if it's just going to be 5950 and 6900XT it's not really useful anymore, profile specific suggestions but overall it's just not good as it just recommends the highest available and even for users with said hardware installed.
QT Framework update to the newest 5.x could be useful too, upgrade to 6.x perhaps even but that's a bit more work.
Chromium browser upgraded and secured would be nice as well but same as the 'suggestions' it can be disabled. 🙂
LOL, don't let it bother you, my 6900 XT and 3900X both do 'not meet the minimum requirement'. What is AMD trying to tell me, that I should switch to Intel and nVidia?

How are we gonna fix it, man?? what is the problem with this driver that we have and others don't??
EvArty777:
Been running AMD Radeon 6800 XT and RX 590 for awhile now on two different PCs. Neither of the issues you mentioned has been observed on either of my systems.
You may want to check your system's OC, O/S, BIOS, etc...

Why would a driver change cause stuttering while older drivers not?? how could it be OC or anything, I also tried anything possible with OC/O/S and Bios and etc. we need something that we can see what changed from the old driver to the new. could be also 6900xt have this issue and not 6800xt. so you can't say things in the air. As far I can see 6800xt doesn't have an issue, 2 people already said they don't have an issue, but 6900xt has. so we have a clear path. what could cause 6900xt to have this issue??
There two ways, A: sell the GPU or B: go back to driver 21.2.3. my guess is other brands update their vbios on there GPU's that fix the issue or others ignore the issue. the problem we have is the memory clock drops at random that cause stutters and framerate drops for few secs.
@EvArty777
Did a factory reset on the bios then flash latest bios with the same settings i use for years XMP profile enable and Secure Boot as well AMD SAM @ stock settings. took my PC to Microcenter when a Agent put a 3090 and did 1 hour stable test no issues or random stuttering/framerate drops, switching back to AMD 6900 XT Reference using driver 21.2.3 no issue, switching to driver 21.3.x to 21.6.2 issue there.
