This driver made my heart frikking skip a beat when I went to undervolt. The default voltage for my card is too high because asus is incompetent which results in black screen crashes when playing video games, to fix this the video card needs to be undervolted, which I have been doing for years, and it works 100% when undervolted. When I installed this new version I went to undervolt the upper state to 1132mV like always, hit apply, everything ok, then went to save it, then the whole screen went garbled, the whole screen was like offset squares going across the screen at half way between vertical and a horizontal angle, if that makes sense. I panicked and smashed reset.... and.. uninstalled the driver, and installed 21.3.1 to be safe and everything's fine...... Has something changed in wattman with 21.5.2 from the previous 21.5.1?

Dont be alarmed. Nothing has changed but make a new profile for wattman instead of using the old one. Im actually using lvl 2 memory timings and when i first installed the driver i applied the timings and screen also went into squares all over the screen had to restart manually. After its booted i made a new profile and everything was fine, still working as it should.

Having never experienced this ever I think I will just not use this driver to be safe... ('◉_◉')

For anyone updating to Win 10 21H1: After I updated all my games were super choppy and my AMD OSD was messed up something fierce. I installed the driver over itself and games got less choppy but there was still the OSD and in driver word corruption so I ran DDU and did a fresh install. Everything is back to buttery smooth and there is no corruption anywhere. I highly suggest running DDU and doing a fresh install of these 21.5.2 drivers after you update. Also, still no HAGS for us Radeon 6xxx users...

First time I've had issues with my RX 5700XT since I bought it. When playing Subnautica: Below Zero, the display freezes, sound continues, and I need to shutdown the computer as nothing is responding. After the PC restarts, it no longer detects the drivers, nor the Radeon Software. As always, driver was installed after using DDU in safe mode. Went back to 20.5.1, problem solved.
I had the same issue on Windows during browsing via Firefox. I can't say if it started with any particular driver, as I upgraded to Rocket Lake platform. But it seems I could solve it by disabling PCIe ASPM in mainboard bios. This would also explain why it didn't occur on Linux, as ASPM support for RDNA2 will arrive just with Linux 5.14. I'm not sure if every bios offers ASPM options, I couldn't find it in X470 Taichi bios. Every Intel ASRock board probably has it.

Assuming you have the issue. Running 21H1 w/o any issues on 21.5.2 and current AMD chipset. I also run my games under DXVK to eliminate DirectX microstutters and to avoid having to do framerate capping.

Did anyone found a fix to the stuttering at higher 2.4.x?

Crybabes, no need for DXVK translation rubbish or other tweaks and tests. Drivers are smooth as butter. No stutter or microstutter exists. AMD knows better. Always did. Do you even know your rigs?

Saints Row 3 Remastered has microstuters while driving. DXVK async fixes this problem for me

The only fix i found that fix the stuttering/framerate drops is installing AMD Radeon software 21.2.3. Rumor says AMD Radeon Software 2021 (June) will have WDDM 2.9 support on Windows 10 build 19043.985 and up since WDDM 2.8 had issues.

Could it be the Ryzen Master they added on the new drivers? can someone test when you uninstalling it. Why don't they fix it????? it's been 5 drivers or more!.... even when reporting 20 times we won't even know if they can repeat the bug.

This is a serious issue AMD need to fix ASAP, since 21.3.1 to latest (21.5.2) it's still there.

Hard to say, only stuttering issue I have had in the recent months has been the one caused by the notorious windows update, and even that seems to be fixed for me now. I think I've gone through every driver during that period.

Folks you can chose to ignore users by clicking their user name and choosing 'ignore'. Or you can just ignore them by not feeding them.

We are all supposed to get along here. Ignore should be the last resort.

I actually can't tell if you are being serious or if this is a form of sarcasm. You can use DXVK to make a lot of games run better.

Anyone else getting driver timeout with these?

No driver timeout but it did make my whole screen garbled squares which I have never had with any previous driver version, I think maybe this beta has some issues.

Yes there are issues with this driver. Got a driver crash yesterday playing days gone. Last used 21.4.1 and didnt had any problems with that one but 21.3.2 should be the most stable so its safe to roleback.

I agree my friend but I myself have a few n00bs on ignore I have a higher tolerance now so dont do it very much anyway as for the driver, again no issues that i can see, smooth gaming and video playback i am using 19043.1023
