Nobody read the release notes from the beta driver??? It states that crossfire has been temporarily disabled for FC4 because of issues. "Important Notes ***9726;The AMD CrossFire™ profile for Far Cry 4 is currently disabled in this driver while AMD works with Ubisoft to investigate an issue where AMD CrossFire™ configurations are not performing as intended. An update is expected on this issue in the near future through an updated game patch or an AMD driver posting."

ok guys does it fix the sudden black screen issue ?
lol what do you think? Maybe in 12 months they will say it's a rare problem affecting minority of users and they weren't able to reproduce it. I might be using a Nvidia card by then.

This is a good driver. I have no problems runing FC4, couple of fps more than 14.7RC3 and kinda less stuttering. Still testing...

same FPS at the first town, measured at the same spot, with these,14.11.1, and last whql. generally i get 35-40 fps inside of the first hub spot with really low gpu/cpu usage, setting to high performance doesn't do anything.

Mobility 5650 and Windows 8.1 still causes a bootloop. It has been 7 months and this bug still prevails.

What bothers me the most is the fact that Ubisoft have chose to blame AMD for Assassin's Creed: Unity and Far Cry 4's bad performance, which obviously is an error out of laziness and lack of optimizations on their part.
The most confusing part, how similar the consoles are to modern PC's, it's like they purposely **** with the release so people buy NVIDIA. They get paid enough to do this.

It could run at 200FPS for all I care, it will still micro-stutter like Far Cry 3.

Good news
Yeah, i noticed today that my friend with 670GTX have alot less fps than my 280X. Stuttering is present but game is kinda playable with this driver.

Could this mean there'll be a general improvement in crossfire for all ubisoft games? When I played assassins creed 3, I don't think I ever got much higher than 50% usage on each card, while hovering around 45 fps.

I just started playing FC3 a couple days ago. I didn't notice any stuttering so far except at the cinematic part at the very beginning of the game. I thought it was going to be horrible, but once I got out of the cage it was just fine.
I guess if Far Cry 3 stutters, Far Cry 4 will. They do here. No idea what causes it or how to fix it.

With 14.11.2 I added ACU.exe to the 3D settings under application settings and under AMD Crossfire X Mode I clicked on use AMD pre-determined profile and scrolled down under I found BF4 and used that profile to overwrite the existing ACU profile. This changed my frames on untra-high with 2x7970's from 15 fps up to 60-80 fps.

removes stutter issue go to documents> mygames> farcry4 edit gameprofile search for DisableLoadingMip0 and change 0 to 1
That didn't change anything in-game, still micro-stutter.

What did fix it though was limiting FPS to 50.

I haven't had any issues yet. I bought a 290x last week, this is my 3rd driver in that time. Ryse, Crysis 3, Assassin's Creed Unity, Witcher 2, Call of Duty 2k15 (lol), and Serious Sam 3 all work flawlessly. Unity dips into the high 30's at times, but still very playable (especially coming from a gtx 760) I've been very happy with the performance and the drivers so far. I won't touch Far Cry 4 for months. Every Far Cry since the original has had issues at launch. I don't blame AMD OR Nvidia. I blame Ubisoft. I plan on purchasing Dragon Age Inquisition and from what I see Mantle handles that quite well. I'm very content. Which is rare...anyone who knows me knows I'm a bitching machine.
