I tried this on Stranger of Paradise yesterday and it resulted in a blank screen. Hopefully it works on most things.

Ah, yes, the one game that was a jaggy, shimmery ugly mess until the developers finally added DLSS support to the game which, if not entirely removing the issue, at least reduced it significantly so it was no longer a constant eye-sore while playing it. DLAA would be really nice to have in that game though so hopefully future updates will support it.

Yeah, it looks like a clown college's dumpster fire at native res. I don't know if it's a bug or what, but it takes more GPU resources to run it at DLSS Quality (which is supposedly running at 70% native res) than actual native res. It also has to be one of the worst optimized games I've ever encountered; despite being hard locked to a 120 fps cap, I get frame drops/slowdowns due to it pushing my 4090 to 100% in some scenarios (smashing certain enemies into crystals), at UW1440p.

But.... Doesn't Hogwarts support DLAA by it self ? I thought it does.

It does. I haven't been able to corroborate it with anyone but the impact that DLSS does to improve frame rates, from Quality to Performance, is negligible to the point that I ran DLAA instead for the laugh and found comparative results in the form of average frame rate and rendering latency, when ray tracing was enabled. I think HW implementation of Nvidia AI rendering is broken or something in the pipe is broken.

Guiys, is there anything else that is needed for this to work, ie any specific drivers or added in software?

Need dlss 3.1.1 .dll So far from testing different presets F seems pretty good.

My thoughts as well. F needs more sharpen than C, especially with DLAA. But often has reduced smearing, generally much less noise, at least partially less motion blur and less jagged edges. D has most motion blur, looks too pixelated with still images and often has more smearing than C. Really no clue why D is recommended as the default preset, doesn't make any sense to me.

Games in general these days have a blurry look, that's why you should slap CAS over everything, even if you have to inject it as a shader using ReShade. Even when it gives a DLSS sharpening option I get better results with injected CAS. Maybe one day nVidia will make sharpening as good as AMD's, but at this point I'm not holding my breath considering how long it's been. They'll never make it so long as there isn't heavy demand for it.

Sharpness is great on those Nat Geo insect documentaries. I find it less important in games tho. As of late anyhow. I'm fine with a little film grain, blur and all that. Gimme atmosphere 🙂

It doesn't feel good while gaming. Version 0.123.8 still beta or alpha stage imo I wait for Version 1.xxxx ,It can become a great piece of software in the future , Thanks anyway for posting:)

How about trying this on tarkov? Could they ban you for this?

Possibly, that's why the dev doesn't recommend trying it with MP games.

Wanted to test BFV or Metro Exodus. BFV never updating DLSS is such a shame.
