Is that a mouse or an exploded view of a mouse printed out using a 3D printer?

Does it transform back into it's robot form once plugged?

I think that acceleration is an overused term. I've just checked Razer Mamba by moving it very fast in one direction, and slowly in the opposite, on cloth pad, a lot of times, and at the end the pointer landed in the same starting position. So for me demonizing laser sensors is kinda rubbish. I've also seen pros using G9x, SteelSeries, and Razer laser mice with great success. So if they can win with laser mouse, and random person loses with the same mouse terribly, it's not the fault of the sensor. Nonetheless, Deathadder handling feels great. Back to Cougar mouse - what I don't like in this design is that it looks like it can't provide good support and balance even for people who don't really lift their mice. Just look at IntelliMouse Explorer / Deathadder / Mamba / G700 - they're super-comfortable for most people (maybe except lifting G700), while having no adjustments or other design gimmicks.

Well, this one sure is hard to clean with all those angles.

+1 Great point! I haven't thought about it, but it's one of these little things that one don't really think about when buying, and after that the problems pop up.

@ Mineria: That imagage is wrong and brand picky. While I agree that Roccat Kone+ what Sh*t with tons of problems. Before they had just Kone (non plus) which was The God Tier. That alone means author had no clue or intentionally left it out completely now Roccat is returning to roots with Kone XTD. There you have Roccat/Rokkat written too, so... And While I agree that Cyborg RAT was more toy than high end tool. At date on top, there were 7/9 version and mmo version which performed very well. And I know their programming software for buttons, there is nearly no equal in that in peripherals and definitely no competition in mouse class. Zowie FK, while good performer, bad even for my small hands, painful to use due to bad ergonomics. As for Razer, yes that fits quite nicely from bottom up. And that M$ mouse, had it in work, and that is where it belongs at best with its 2 buttons and scroll wheel.
The list is looking at sensor/tracking quality/accuracy, and by the looks of it for fps gaming. Ergonomics, software and 100 additional buttons is just additional stuff. My favorite top mouse list would be more like Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0, Zowie EC 1 eVo and Steelseries Rival. I see a trend regarding mice with tons of gimmicks, they use lower quality sensors on them compared to the more simple mice so not a huge fan of them, that includes the Cougar 700M. As for Logitech, I never had one where the switches could last more than a few months, so I stopped even considering them as a brand to go for, regardless how good sensors they might use. I know others had more luck and rate them as top end, but I guess that depends on the revision you can get. Still, it's the sensor and not everything else around the mouse that is taken into consideration regarding that list. Neither is it made by one persons opinion only.

break sorting rule by putting same sensor into 2 different categories because that mouse is worse (yes it is).
Same sensor but do they use the same controller chip? I too would love to see a more professional and scientific list, but this was kind of the only recent thing I could find on the net, and to some extend it rates some of the mice correct. Although, I would take the name differences for the top tiers with a grain of salt and see them as one tier. Also, it would be impossible to include ergonomics into a single list, since some prefer claw, others palm and some a hybrid, plus there are different hand sizes too.

Some people used Enotus test, so here's some input from a wireless laser mouse with my usual settings: Enotus Mouse Test v0.1.4 Mouse: @oem18.inf,%razer0025.devicedesc%;Razer Mamba Dock Model: Razer Mamba Wireless Resolution: 4000 dpi \excellent\ Polling speed: 498 Hz Max speed: 5.00 m/s (787269 points/s) \excellent\ Precision: 99.4 % (0.08 m/s) \excellent\ Smoothness: 7.1 % \good\ If you can get a comfortable mouse with such stats or better, then why would you want to overpay?
