No. It's like saying "I buy Gigabyte motherboards coz I know they're good" or "I buy Nissan cars because I don't need to repair it as much as a Ford." I'm no fanboy, I'm still critical toward Intel but from the few past AMD experience I had (not related to PCs I own), I had disappointing experience with them (either CPU or GPU). My past CPUs were all Intel: Celeron 700MHz (with WinME - first PC ever), Pentium III 350MHz, Pentium 4 3GHz, laptop Pentium 1.7GHz (don't remember model), Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz and my current Core i7 950 @ stock 3.06GHz. Yes, the current i7 is the only CPU I had that is high-end at the time of release but I never had issue with them and I see no reason to switch to another brand. Simple as that. I don't like those prices but we'll see with the official prices when they'll be revealed. I don't like that i7 without Hyper Threading. This fucking sucks. Such garbage move Intel.
I had p3 667 (died) is the only cpu ever to die on me...no idea why it did , then p3 933, athlon 64 3000+,athlon x2 5200+, phenom2 720, i7 3770k and now ryzen 1600, and i3 330m on my laptop. Other than the dead p3 the rest of the cpus never ever ever gave me a problemin general is really really really REALLY hard for the cpu to be the actual problem cpus tend to outlive the rest of the components especially with out o/c

The pricing is really dumb, it should be $500, it will still be more expensive than 2700X but who ever wants better they would pay more, two extra cores for $300+ more imo is way too much even for a binned cpu, unless it goes above 5.3ghz and cools like champ.
