So this means i can buy a 9900K and a RTX2080Ti for just a little more than 2.000€!!! Time to empty the bank account...
BLEH!
2700X is £299... Why would I pay 3 x the price for 1.25 x the performance? DOES NOT COMPUTE

um they droping hyper threading on i7? please dont tell me they doing something stupid like making i9 exclusive now
if intel is gona pull that shit with those pricing I will get amd next go around seeing they have just as much cores and more thread for less, I dont thin STP is very important anymore, as such I think this is last pc I make that I priorities STP over all others, and that was mostly cause I play the crap out swtor which only cared about 1 thing STP, which no longer play. starting to think the 5820k would been the better choice, then again I really would of need to oc that to be atlset acceptable stp

I don't really think intel will price those SKUs so high, it makes no sense like if someone was dubious about either getting new intel or AMD cpu this would clarify things...
Sounds like BS to me...

Bahahah Intel go sod off with those prices mates. Ain't giving you one penny just because of your greed.

Price is high for having top IPC + competitive core count but wait for Zen2 (Ryzen 3000 series) and price will drop a lot if rumors about Zen2 are true.

Someone should tell Intel that they're not an absolute monopoly anymore and that some form of competition exists now.
Also tell them that my new EULA states that they must build an idol of me and sacrifice 3 liters of blood each at it every day.

2 things are happening in this thread.
people over reacting about something a 5 year old could have posted
people will pay anything for the extra 10%. there's people who can afford stuff and will pay top dollar. diminishing returns are obvious when you go top end.

I only really had Intel till now too but I couldn't afford what Intel was asking anymore I had my 3770k I got for around 300-350$ cad and for a long time after that the i5's where pushed into that price so I stuck with my i7 till ryzen gave a compelling price to performance upgrade
