Comparing future gen Vs previous gen from the concurent... It always make me laugh (from AMD or Intel). It mean nothing. Of course that future gen will better than actual, at least result compared to own actual gen would be more interesting And result from concurent when both will be aviable.

After half a decade sleeping on the job, it's good that Intel finally decided to wake up and improve IPC. I wonder if it wasn't for competition from other companies, if Intel would do the same, but for a whole decade. Or two.

this must be super overclocked + liquid nitro because its shouldnt be able to reach that score... also in my 5950x I get 690 with corsair AIO water cooling
At 4.65ghz is the processor with an arctic freezer II 280, elsewhere is the trick and I hope it does not apply to the 12k series of Intel.

even without doing this trick, another thing pushing my own comments about stopping to care about the benchmarks used in news and reviews, they are a crap representation of real life performance

I have screenshots of CPU-Z taken after various tuning sessions and single core ranges anything from 591 to 646 Single core is still a good indicator since most normal software runs single threads for each separate task most of the time so the faster the better in most cases. And if they do use multiple threads then each will be sped up by single core performance. A faster multicore score just means the faster single core x number of cores.

Maybe it's faster, but it he same time generates more hear and it's watts like crazy 😀

There has been no reason to upgrade faster cpu for ages for normal users and gamers. Unless wants 1000fps in sc.. what a waste 😉

imho, this kind of benchmarks tells right nothing (clock speed?, wattage?, ram speed?, bus freq?) and is such a weak expression of overall system performance, just crap and complete nonsense. btw: i would like to see alder lake run cpu-z 19.01.64 AVX-512 🙂 😉

Sometimes less is better, a perfect example is the 9700k which beats 9900k in most of the games.
Yeah, nope. Benchmarks as proof please. By most you mean almost none?

11510 points in multithread with a ryzen x3950 in a x370 motherboard . In comparison with that new processor at least for me there is no hard reason to change .

Do yourself a big favour and put down that Fortnight for a minute, take that overdue shower, brush your teeth and finally do your own research....and one more thing, while you undertake those difficult tasks...i will mention that almost ALL GAMES with an exception of very few that run higher fps on 9900k

Hey kiddo, I've seen benchmarks, and I can recall only one game that had like 0.5% more FPS on 9700K. [youtube=d0q4DQT2dBI]

I see interesting. I pushed 701. But only stable in cpuz 🙂
