Dude, i delidded my 8700K and put liquid metal on it, it was pretty easy to do, went from high 80's to 55C while under gaming load with 4.8ghz all core, even with prime it hardly goes over 60C now.

Still hotter than Sandy bridge ever got, but yeah i'm 4.7 all core, i undervolted mine now i get about 60c give or take depending on the game. Shouldn't really need to mod a cpu just to get it under wraps, those seems to be the case. Did the same with my 3090, some games I use 100w less power for the same performance just by undervolting it
