Almost got my new setup sorted, just need Memory and a Motherboard. Tho i think i go with the Gigabyte Z87X-OC depending on the price. Just not sure what memory speed to get. What's more important these days, super low timings or high speeds. It's gonna be a gaming rig.

I already saw the 4770k(BX80646I74770K) selling in a trusted and known German shop some days ago. I don't know how long it was there or if it's for pre-order but its going for €335 in case anyone is interested.
Yeah I got my eye on that http://geizhals.at/eu/?cat=cpu1150 There were 10, yesterday 8, now only 3. 🤓

Ugly packaging. It looks like it popped out of the 1990's!

Forget IvyBridge-E, show me Haswell-E ! 😀 I'm going to skip Haswell/Kepler refresh, next year though might get expensive. 🤓

RoadKillNL are you going to keep that 680 because i think it will still be more then enough with your new setup, about the ram i would go for high speed.
Keeping my 680 yes, i see no reason to upgrade that untill the next series. I had my eyes on http://www.crucial.com/store/partspecs.aspx?IMODULE=BLT2KIT4G3D1869DT1TX0 for quite a while. Not super high speed, but in 99% of the tests i see memory rarely makes a difference for gaming.
