I will definitely buy it at day 1 🙂

blower coolers will always be superior to air circulators.

So liquid cooling in a must?
Hopefully not. Otherwise the price will be nuts.

it's about time. Will they adopt silent fans too?

Yes but AMD never was able to put a silente and efficient blower cooler on any gaming GPU. Buy a nitro+ and you will love it forever.

About time, I've never liked blower coolers.
Seconded. About bloody time AMD.

Blower coolers are nice to have as an option because they do have some practical benefits under certain circumcstances, but they make for a terrible reference cooler.

Doesn't Nvidia usually do this too where all reference models come with blower design? Seems like very few people prefer it and the extra cost for a better cooler seems trivial for a $500-$800+ product launch.

All the people saying finally when Nvidia has also only just switched from a blower cooler for their reference design also with the 2000 series. Also, blower coolers have their place and there should always be an option to have one which I am sure the vendors will offer.

As much as I love AMD GPU's there blower coolers are very average. Other than expelling hot air out of the case, there is no plus to them. That's my opinion anyway.

I plan to buy a quadro or go to a third party for a blower if they continue using the ugly double axial coolers.

People who do water cooling don't care about the blower and AMD made quite good reference boards anyway. For everyone else there are aftermarket cards, but I do agree that for just a few $ more they can make significantly better cooling.

Still running my 5700XT 50th Ann with its silent (well if I open the side cover and place my ear six inches from the card I can hear a slight "whoooosh") blower fan. Games for hours without ever hearing it @ default fan profile, which is all I've used since July 9, 2019 when I installed it. From what I read in other forums, my card is as quiet as any non-blower AIB design, and actually quieter than some--which I thought was interesting. No, there's no "jet-engine" volume unless you deliberately turn the fan curve up manually to well beyond 50%--none of that stuff. As long as my GPU doesn't crash or freeze I just don't care about temps, as all are within normal spec for the card. Judging by the amount of negative reaction to the blower-style fan in the reference design, complete with all kinds of false claims about it initially, I don't blame AMD for dumping the blower next go around, though.
