Read that this was fro the now abandoned RTX 4000 Titan (or whatever it'd have been called). I don't blame nVidia for dropping this one, heat from a 900W GPU would be kinda hard to tame.

Yep, I have seen it yesterday at vid..rdtz.com and was curious, when G3D will add it to it´s news headline..supposing HH was toooooooo busy with releasing his reviews....btw thanks again HH.

Nvidia could market it as the worlds first GPU/convection heater combo. Lol

Could that be the new RTX50XX radiator/ room heater?

TDP is getting out of hand. If this trend keeps going on for long, I can see the EU step in and regulate some kind of efficiency law for energy preservation sake. Going from 300 to 450 TDP for 10% performance makes no sense at all and companies should be ashamed to do this bs. I don't mind them over-engineering the product, just make it factory efficient and leave enthusiasts to mess with it if they want. Or add a BIOS switch and ship it with it turned to ECO.

It's more efficient than a normal heater, this one heats your room an let's you play games on it

If you're gonna go all-out, actually go all out. At 900W, why would you settle for a heatsink like that? Mount a car radiator and pump the coolant through a refrigeration system.

so many off-the-shelf solutions are better than this. my ghetto chiller on my work pc (along with 10L of coolant) cost under $400 and i bet if they contracted Arctic they would have an even cheaper (and way smaller than a mini-fridge) solution

4090 = oversized garbage Expect very low lifetime. Would never buy without at least 5 years warranty, which they will never do bc they know it won't last.
Oversized? Maybe. Garbage? I don't think it is. What are you talking about, dude?

No need to ration electricity unless you want to make scarce on purpose.

unfotunately the choices of the "consumer" says otherwise, the extra performance is worth it to people, amd tried that with the nano, but it sold even more poorly than the fury x. despite being just that, ~10% slower with 2/3rds the power draw. And to be frank ,nothing stops a person from changing the powerlimiter if they really want to. if the extra 150w gets nvidia on the top of the charts , then its definitely worth it for them.

from what what i read it was canceled cause it was tripping breakers and melting things. What is funny is the PCB gpu board are on now are tiny compared what they where for 10xx and prior gens, the bulk of the card now is cooling system cause TDP usage has got out control on newer cards Still miss the days when 150watt cards where thing, now 150watt card are trash specs but apparently i one can undervolt to achieve this, my 1070ti that would consume up to 180wat and hit in the 70c or higher underload now hit 63c underload and uses 135watt give take at max and has very little lose in performance that i can see, fact that it no longer sound like a jet engine is good enough for me now.

That´s why I wrote no offend, man, you got it ! Pic reminds me to Jayz vs. GN vs. KingP or whoever OC session which was great fun, really looking forward to this kind of 4090 contest, maybe they need a nuclear power plant for their next overclocking live stream.

Yes, I read that too. Apparently the GPU was so powerful that after a time melted itself and also some circuits from the boards but Nvidia (according to rumors of course) is not giving up and this could be the 4090 Ti. At this rate as I said in another post we will attach computer parts to the GPU and not the other way around.

With the price nvidia want's to sell these things at they may as well just build it inside a refrigerator.

Nvidia should put a warning label on the RTX 4090 Warning: Dedicated Circuit of 15 amps required for this device. (20 amps if paired with a intel i9-13900k)
