Read that this was fro the now abandoned RTX 4000 Titan (or whatever it'd have been called). I don't blame nVidia for dropping this one, heat from a 900W GPU would be kinda hard to tame.

Yep, I have seen it yesterday at vid..rdtz.com and was curious, when G3D will add it to it´s news headline..supposing HH was toooooooo busy with releasing his reviews....btw thanks again HH.

Could that be the new RTX50XX radiator/ room heater?

TDP is getting out of hand. If this trend keeps going on for long, I can see the EU step in and regulate some kind of efficiency law for energy preservation sake.
Going from 300 to 450 TDP for 10% performance makes no sense at all and companies should be ashamed to do this bs.
I don't mind them over-engineering the product, just make it factory efficient and leave enthusiasts to mess with it if they want.
Or add a BIOS switch and ship it with it turned to ECO.

If you're gonna go all-out, actually go all out. At 900W, why would you settle for a heatsink like that? Mount a car radiator and pump the coolant through a refrigeration system.

No need to ration electricity unless you want to make scarce on purpose.

canceled cause it was tripping breakers and melting things. What is funny is the PCB gpu board are on now are tiny compared what they where for 10xx and prior gens, the bulk of the card now is cooling system cause TDP usage has got out control on newer cards
Still miss the days when 150watt cards where thing, now 150watt card are trash specs but apparently i one can undervolt to achieve this, my 1070ti that would consume up to 180wat and hit in the 70c or higher underload now hit 63c underload and uses 135watt give take at max and has very little lose in performance that i can see, fact that it no longer sound like a jet engine is good enough for me now.

With the price nvidia want's to sell these things at they may as well just build it inside a refrigerator.

Nvidia should put a warning label on the RTX 4090
Warning: Dedicated Circuit of 15 amps required for this device.
(20 amps if paired with a intel i9-13900k)
