Question is: does it include a new 12 pin pci-e cable for the nvidia RTX 3XXX cards?

Not that I could see, visiting the be quiet website and trying to scan through the text and relevant pictures of the new PSU. The mystery Nvidia cable/connector seems to be absent even from brand new, expensive PSUs. The whole connector thing kind of smells like a misunderstanding. I don't doubt Nvidia was testing such a thing, but a multi-billion cutting-edge company like Nvidia would be testing thousands of things all the time.

The PSU looks like it has 12-pin PCIe connectors on the PSU side though... maybe BeQuiet just haven't had them prepared yet? Or maybe they're not releasing them until they can confirm proper compatibility with RTX3000 cards?
Hilbert, what's the PCIe cables look like on the unit you have? I'll bet they're two (or three?) 6+2 pins from a single PSU connector. We know the pinouts of the older 6/8-pin and the newer 12-pin so by following the wires from the old 8-pin, it should be possible to see how those PSU-side 12-pin PCIe are wired up.

@Huggi You can go to the manufacturer's site and look at the photos and diagrams. The PSU does boast about being able to use all 12V as if it was a single rail, which might mean it could support Nvidia's newest. But there's no such cable included, the diagrams don't mention an option for such a cable, and all in all nothing there directly refers to the existence of such a cable. Besides, the 12V trick requires a flick of a switch, so if, without using the switch, there's a problem using a special cable, it's still no good.

It has room for 5 gpu`s which seems a bit odd.......1) you`d need more than one 1500watt psu to run 5 and 2) who in there right mind would try and run 5 x 3xxx gpu let alone 2.

Quite interesting it's not included in the box. Seeing how Nvidia's market share is higher than ever and how Ampere is so highly anticipated, wouldn't it be very good marketing material for the brand new PSU to be able to say it's immediately and naturally compatible without the need to use any adapters? PSUs are always shipped with extra cables anyway, so what's one more? Unless analogously to G-sync, the PSU manufacturers would need to pay for a license to make such a cable. That would be hilarious.

Professional workstations would run multiple cards easily. Any new Quadro cards would also be using the 12-pin.
Maybe the new connector can also be used for more than just graphics cards? Would be nice to replace Molex although BQ's cable sheet shows Molex still exists on these PSUs.
BeQuiet have announced an aftermarket 12-pin cable so this does support the new 12-pin. The single-rail or multi-rail shouldn't affect the 12-pin anyway? The 1500W version says it has six rails, so I'd guess that each 12-pin is using one rail each then the peripherals, CPU 8-pin, and mobo 24-pin are sharing the sixth rail.

The cable comes with the card.All the psu is gonna have is the two 8 pin pcie connector.

It would be good marketing and make sense. But the plug is so new they probably didn't have any manufactured and available to put in the boxes when the psu's were made. So they have to send them out after the fact.
