ive always questioned who actually buys boards like these ive never seen one of these in the wild. here one of these boards is around $1k cad which is just silly.

Loads of rich people out there who don't even look at the cost of things like this. About the board, there's better boards out there for less, also not a fan of the look of it. Not that it really matters to me as the internals of my PC case don't matter to me, but I know they do to many.

The Biostar Z690 Valkyrie which I've also reviewed has the VRM fans also (and it's not just one) 😉

Looking at these flagship/halo-class MB’s is like a dream for the man on the street like me. Unreachable! A nice thought too behold while driving my forklift at Walmart on the third-shift. Then again the next-gen MB’s are now being pretty easy to wait for. I am however disappointed in this particular Z690 Taichi motherboard when looking at the overall specifications. I often wished that ASRock would finally and long overdue turn the corner and giving Asus and Gigabyte and the others a real run for their money! For some strange reason the ASRock MB products have never measured-up besides their marketing strategies and talk not helping either. At the local computer show here in Portland, OR it’s the ASRock MB’s that drop the most and the earliest in their pricing against the competition and still people are still not convinced in buying. And further despite the fact that some of the ASRock MB deals are routinely too good to be true and with no sales tax necessary and an extra 10% discount if paid with cash!
