Let's hope that their Deskmini update will feature a Intel NIC, using the same motherboard or variations of it.

Can I use this as a PFSense router? I have 2 ISP's and I want to combine them via balancing / fail-over / traffic shaping. It seems this mobo is very power efficient which is a must for networking use. I'm just wondering if this is wise purchase though since I want it to be cheap enough

It features a Realtek NIC, pFsense manual specifically says avoid that manufacturer. Use Intel, Broadcom, Mellanox or any other server grade NIC.
