Had HTC's Vive Pro and a much cheaper Microsoft VR set, but didn't enjoy either in the long run, preferring curved monitors over VR. My old Fanatec setup, with handbrake, gearbox, dampening mod, IR tracker and a DIY frame.

I have similar gear with V3 pedals, that same shifter, and v2.5 wheelbase. I use Rift S headset - which is ancient now with low resolution. The newer high end headsets are much better I hear. No space for monitor or triple on rig.

Hi denial. Preferring monitors over VR for sims is some total bs. Ive been in professional simulators that cost over SIX figures in the past decade... The experience with my headset (which is OLED and does have one of the largest FoVs of all sets) trounces them, sans the hardware controls I cant come close to affording.

Which headset? Brand/model?
