I got the 24g2u since July, great reviews and price ect... the only downside I haven't seen anywhere mentioned is it lacks sharpness control in the OSD which I would love as for me some text is a little bit blurry. Apart from this I think AOC worth the $, hope these will be great monitors too.

I really, really dislike what is becoming a trend now with 16:9 curved 27" displays. I can understand the curve with ultrawide and ultra-ultrawide, and MAYBE, if the curve is not too big with a 16:9 32" monitor... but this is just ridiculous.

What I really want is FLAT ultra wides... so they can actually be used for productivity as well..

Even worse is that it is an acute curve, at 1500r. Other curved monitors are usually more subtle at 1800r, even on larger monitors.

We're halfway through 2020 and something aside from cheaply made LCDs is still not standard. At this point I have no hope of a proper "cinema quality" high refresh display reaching the monitor market at a reasonable price anytime soon. Is there no clear demand for it or something? Are people just complicit using sub-par technology forever? One would think there would be decent profit to be made by finally breaking past all this, but no company seems to be putting any real effort into pursuing it. Every technology that could be viable that was being worked on as an alternative to easily degrading OLEDs was abandoned. I've given up hope of seeing anything decent while I'm still young.

Yeah me too. I'm on the lookout for a new monitor for over a while now and it's really hard to find something appealing. My old Dell S2716DG just got RMAd 2 months before warranty expires, and I was planning on selling the replacement and get something new. Other than an Alienware AW3420DW that had a deal at my store or a ViewSonic XG270QG which is crazy expensive for what it offers nothing caught my attention. I guess I'll have to drop "g-sync" from the filter as it seems that there are almost no new monitors being made with it... that is if I ignore the upcoming crazy expensive ROG Swift PGUQ line.
