Bezel looks pretty neat atleast, no fancy stuff just plain. The ASUS and LG one are both a no go in that regard. ASUS has this big bulge, and the LG one has a purple shine to the bottom bezel.

This would definitely have my attention if I didn't already own an Alienware DWF OLED. Off of the top of my head, AOC are the only company I remember that have a 0 bad pixel policy.

Must be something to experience, I only ever tried OLED on large screen while hanging in digital stores around expensive TVs.

That's good to know, as it's the most scary thing about buying a new monitor.

this is the LG panel on an AOC... but the more the merrier as far as oled goes and you know it's not going to be crappy build quality in the Agon line

too expensive for a 27" display

Agreed but there's few other 27" options. Let the early adopters buy them and eventually the price will come down, so I can buy one. Over price my issue is text fringing pentile.

The big changes are pushed for the OLED, LCD is going nowhere.

Too expensive With the mini led monitors reaching decent quality and price is very hard to pay 2x more for an OLED...

No one is forced to buy 'too expensive' tech, are they? Just wait until the inevitable price reduction, all nice new tech is 'too expensive' when first released. I refuse to pay £25 for a newly released 4K UHD BluRay, I wait until they come down to £15.

this model is too expensive, but msrp won't hold in a few months. mini-led ain't exactly cheap, in fact the 27'-32" models with (at least) HDR 600 are going for the same money as the LG 27" oled. there's a huge difference not just in picture quality, but also in the fact that oled outperforms all other panels at the same frequency, so lcd/mini-led will have perceptible blur at the same refresh rate. but mini-led has specific applications at the high end (HDR 1000+) for extremely bright rooms and outdoors

KTC 2K monitors cand be found around 500€ Oled is in fact superior but for those that cannot afford it, mini led are a decent option at this price.

KTC is leading the pack for value with both oled and mini-led... so much so i might call them an outlier. if they have one around 500euros and it has HDR 600 (HDR 400 is a joke) or better it's a steal as the "big boys" selling mini-led are in the $700+ range - which is where the marked down LG 27" oled is (at least in the states)
data/avatar/default/avatar11.webp
They have 2k HDR 1000 monitors around 450€ It's a great price but they are not widely available and costumer feedback is still scarce, so at this point might be more prudent to wait a bit. I hope that this kind of prices forces the competition to adjust their offers giving more solid options, because in europe no OLED costs less the 1000€

Yes for some, and for us waiting for a 32" 4k 16:9 OLED with 144hz, it is just not an option to buy this 27" regardless of the price. Anybody knows some rumors about a 32" 4k 16:9 OLED with 144hz monitor???

they're coming... from LG of course. but they'll start out very expensive if you go to 42" you'll have more choice at a lower price as LG C2(120Hz), the ROG pg42uq (138Hz), the Aorus FO48u(120Hz) are all on the market now at lower than msrp. and the C2 and FO48u are well under $900 there's a "desktop tax" so you can see the LG 27" 1440p at the same price as the C2 4k
data/avatar/default/avatar32.webp
But for many, including me, a 42" gaming monitor is too large. But I've just upgraded my 6 year old Sony 4K TV for a LG OLED G2 55" and boy, is it glorious. Watching Glasto at the moment is such a treat. The G2 had a huge price drop once the G3 released, bought a Samsung Q990B to go with it (again a huge saving as the Q990C just released). No need to pay excessive prices for most tech & audio visual stuff, just be patient and then you can buy the best of the last gen at reasonable prices.

Do they actually have a 0 dead pixel policy? I'm gonna have to look this up. My current monitor has a couple dead pixels and sadly I didn't notice til it was just too late to exchange. In the future I plan to be a lot more careful about dead pixels as they're very distracting once you notice them imo. EDIT: At a glance searching around they do appear to have a 3-year dead pixel policy, that's awesome.
