Boycott Ubisoft for false/deceptive advertising. It's a big joke.

I really like, how this article came out 2 min after the "WatchDogs 2 Hello World Teaser".

Oh well, thankfully i never pre-order or buy at launch these days, so i am free of getting caught out on this stuff, but bummer for the pre-order crowd. lol

This is scary stuff but also well known.
Though I'm sure they wouldn't downgrade Rayman 😉

I doubt even the PC versions in those videos were ever real or looked anywhere like that in real time, videos always looked ike they were totally staged.

Disgustingly deceptive , Ubisoft need to have their backsides spanked for very misleading and false advertising of their so called AAA games ...........................

This dramatic downgrades are just because of consoles. PCs could probably run E3 games, but consoles can't, not even in a dream. So to protect console market witch is big they downgrade PC versions too, so the console fans wouldn't complain about the epic difference.
Today we would have much, much better graphics in games if it weren't for consoles witch are suffocating graphic's progress on PCs.

I actually think there's something else going on here. The clue is in the big differences in all assets used in all games shown at events like E3 etc.
I suspect the "event-versions" are actually what we'd call "tech-demo", running on a different engine altogether with proper lighting, smoke, textures...even sounds as you've noticed.
What they seem to do is take small portions of the real game and remake it at a much higher-quality and this is then presented as representative of the real game when infact it's just a tech-demo of what the game could be like, but, not what it's actually like. This explains the assets and even interface differences etc.
Kinda-like those UE4 demos. Small portions of the game, just enough to make you "wow" and "awe" (and think it's real) and ofcourse, buy the eventual product which is much lower-quality and not because of consoles either, the real games are lower-quality because they were made that way.

^^Yeap, it is always telling that these reveals are alway pre-recorded, never live. ha
Just watch E3 next week and see how many videos are pre-recorded with games that look way too good for even PC tech to reach.
