Just rumors, still having 80CUs the GPU could beat 3080. However, it would be massive and therefore there will be lower yields and higher price (due to it being competitive too). Availability on launch will also be an important issue, as we can see in case of NVIDIA. Anyway, just a little bit over a week for the official announcement.

Fingers crossed for AMD to deliver - we need competition in the top end segments as well. This will mean that 3080Ti will come sooner than expected, and of course the 20gb variants of the 3080.

Hell, if that 6900XT performs close to the 3080, with decent RT performance for about 600€, I might even be tempted to buy me a new monitor. But I won't πŸ™‚

I've got a gut feeling the 6900XT will be between 3080 and 3090 performance wise. 6800XT should be the one on the neck of 3080. But I'm just taking a rough guess now, no more than that 😎

Doesn't even have to be as fast as 3080. Make it 10% slower,100 $ cheaper (then 3080) and most important, make it available AMD and this will definitely be a bestseller! 2021 might be AMD's year to shine. Both Nvidia and Intel really needs some ass kicking to behave better in the future.

Considering they seem to struggle to even push out the 3080 I'm not convinced it'll bring anything forward. Looking forward to some healthy competition here though

That's an impressive looking line up. If AMD delivers on the price and availability, Nvidia may be pushing out the "Super" and Ti variants sooner than they expected. The RX 6700 XT looks particularly interesting to me.
The RX 6800 is looking appealing to me. Should be the coolest of the Navi 21 chips, but a mighty increase over the 6700 XT in shaders, CU's, memory bandwidth and memory size.

2330MHz is such an impressive number ^^

It all depends on how well that rumored L3 cache will do its job. It either works great, and then Navi 2X can be at least 10% faster than 3080, if not more ... or it doesn't, in which case it will be much slower, due to memory bandwidth constraints and all those CUs go to waste. This is new technology, never tried before on a discrete GPU (not that I know of). --- I think we'll see large variations depending on the game, in some AMD's hardware will be considerably faster (where the cache can shine), and in some it will be slower (where the memory is the bottleneck). Or maybe there is no cache and those rumors were all bogus. Not many days left until we find out.

6900XT beats "3090" 6800xt beats 3080, 6800 beats 3070. 6700/6700xt is the new mid ranger expert product. Both 3060ti 3060 are hopeless, dead upon release.

It's going to be hard to compare GPUs. If what applied to consoles applies to the RX 6000 series, Ray Tracing will be performed on a hardware level, but not with dedicated cores. So my guess is that the RX 6900XT could beat the 3080 on rendering, but RT performance will get a more significant performance hit than what it does on nVidia cards. I wonder what nVidia will do if the 6900XT is very good. I mean, from a price point, there's much room between the 3080 and the 3090 for a 3080 Ti. From a performace point, not so much. I do get excited, even though I'm not really looking to upgrade.

I think it might be something like: 6900XT beats RTX 3080/20GB 6800XT beats RTX 3700Ti/16GB 6800 beats RTX 3700/8GB 6700XT beats RTX 3600Ti 6700 beats RTX 3600 Will see xD

Going by what 6700XT is. It should be close to 2080 so actually quite close to 3070 even close enough to beating it. Going by how close 5700 XT would be already. πŸ˜€

I see the hype train is at full steam here, people need to chill a bit and wait for reviews. I'm mostly interested in 6700 and what its price going to be, I hope not 5700 price or I'll have to go sulk in the corner.

Im at 1080p and not planing to change anytime soon , with 1060 6GB right now. I'm thinking if i double the performance of 1060 i will be good at 1080p πŸ˜€

Give us benchmarks AMD. Please k thx. Without benchmarks all there is to do is guess, like we did last week and the week before...

hoping the 6800 comes in at around $500

I assume he's joking, there was this meme going around of it only being 15% faster than an RTX 2080 Ti, and we know that's absolute baloney. The card shown, whether it was the 72CU or 80CU model, was almost on par with a 3080. Not that we needed any proof that it was nonsense, just 2x a 5700XT would be far faster than that.

What we need unless you have done Hilbert is some info re Vram and the potential pitfalls esp at higher resolutions. The 16gb vs 10gb thing could seem like a clever move by Amd. I think it's potentially a key selling point. Personally if am gonna spend loads on a 4k screen etc i'd want a bit more Vram based of off some benchmarks have seen. (some were at 9gb but I didnt see any slowdown).
