getting terrible stuttering and framepacing issues in a lot of games with this driver. Gonna try DDU and reinstall and see if that fixes it.

Just tried this driver on son's PC and in SWS got CTD after mission loading in VR, just as background images vanished. On the other hand, as user 2080s I wish I could see normal images in VR in game menus like on 5700XT...And normal movies, and not unsynced for every eye crap. This game is so fkd up...

Mostly on Genshin Impact, no overclocks. And after the bsod i got that wattaman crash and restored to default message.

My rx480 gaming x doesn't play well with this driver. After bringing the monitor on from standby, I've experienced 3 crashes to a black screen or frozen desktop that forced me to reset, also another when starting Strike Suite Zero DC. No issue with 20.9.1 (for which I returned to) or previous versions.

So I ran DDU and installed 20.9.1, it indeed fixed the FreeSync stuttering issue. I suspect 20.9.2 broke FreeSync over HDMI for me

No issues here in total. Indeed VA panel is better than ever since September. Zero flickering these last weeks. And driver performs smoothly.

20.9.2 all good in path of exile (vulkan rendered) VA 165hz no problems.

Most of traditional stress tests are useless today. They do exactly what game does. Put HW under full load. But that's often not what causes crash. Today, HW often flops badly after heavy workload ends as it is still heated up, but there is voltage drop and clock drop which is too aggressive for such temperature. That's why some systems crash not while gaming, but right after.

or --- right before.... cause e.g. a PSU can't handle a sudden big power spike that good. Cause of different reasons ... e.g. 8pin x2 connected to one 12V (weak) rail or through a splitter ... old PSUs that are degrading after years of use etc.

Honestly while stable this driver has shown obvious performance losses across all my regular tests.I only really installed them for Squadrons and I have access to beta branch but/ first driver in memory I’ve seen repeatable performance loss not a margin of error that I consistently see.

Yeah, me and @JonasBeckman talked about this a few drivers back. And yes I reported it. Fast forward 4-5 months later...nothing. And there is no reason why, to this day. No explanation was ever given why it was removed. And that's not the only issue either. -AF doesn't work, at all. Which was found in Horizon Dawn Zero (I believe) were in game AF was borked. Nvidia users could enable AF from the drivers. Amd users cannot. -Missing Custom IQ settings for Video Profile (Sharpness / Vibrance / Steady Video / Fluid motion video / (Custom Brightness is the only option available for Navi Users) -Broken Freesync when exiting from Modern Warfare to desktop. Also "Games" don't offer any indicator of GPU Compatibility for MW indicating a driver profile issue overall. Turning the monitor on/off fixed it. But other games works just fine. <--This is intermittent. Sometimes exiting out you get no mouse stutter other times you do. -Features that's been promoted at one time then remove: (FTRC, Global Cache toggle, Fluid Motion, etc) -Broken Recording feature once I installed the AE-7 (Sound Blaster Command) audio card. In which I now have to Enable Separate Microphone Track in order to get it to work again. I had to figure this out all by my lonesome as there is absolutely no info on this. So that's not the only thing gone south with these drivers.
