I wanted to leave my report with experience installing the latest drivers on a RX480 / 580 4GB Sapphire, the best driver that works super stable and without errors is still the April 2020 version adrenaline 20.4.2, the other later versions are, giving error with a random black screen, this error happens when I'm playing Assetto Corsa 1.16.3, and Sniper Elite 4, thanks.
After several tests of the 5600xt in a CS:GO game with different driver versions, I got the following results.
The FPS Benchmark card was taken as a basis
20.9.2 - 450 fps
20.9.1 - 505 fps
20.4.2 - 525 fps
This is not good for the latest AMD drivers, so i decided to stay at 20.4.2

As for Vega, new drivers are better in terms of Perf p/tW
Better API Overhead Score as well as 3Dmark FS.
Slowly my card is approaching magical 29k level (28.6k now).
Some bugs in BFV when building, i hope guys from Vanguard passed this to the team.
I'm getting some random reboots after playing Genshin Impact, did a 1 hour full stress test cpu, gpu em memory on aida64 and nothing.
Maybe is the game and the driver.
My minidumps from bsod, if anyone can take a look to see whats wrong i would be grateful.

Both are connected to ntkrnlmp.exe. Use whql driver and reset your overclocking to stock settings.
Yep, it will reset everything - game profiles, settings, statistics, caches etc.
OnnA:
No, but better save Your settings on remote HDD (Fresh install, keep settings).
Thing is if You want to revert to 20.5.1 from 20.9.1 the settings can't be loaded.
Only forward.
it worked: all settings stayed there, even my light underclock (1366 to 1340) 🙂

I tryed assetto corsa yesterday, only few laps but no errors so far: what track / car? black screen? do you have an overclock?
Wasn't that an issue with some other game too reporting 2x the actual performance figure due to what was it again something with the primary render thread?
I think MSI Afterburner was mentioned but it should have some compatibility or setting if confirmed which should work if it's the same problem here.
EDIT: Flight Simulator 2020 I think?
Sounds great, will try it out!
@Eastcoasthandle sorry but I dont agree. If the game runs fine on nvidia cards (and it does, at least in regards to this kind of stuttering - had a 1070 before and everything was fine) and not on the specific RX5000 cards, it's a problem with the card and the way it's VRAM works. Stable cards should be prepared for memory leaks.
AMD recommending us to keep under 80% of VRAM to prevent a problem from manifesting itself doesn't make it less of a problem. It IS a problem simply because it only happens with this product (RX5000).
I hate car analogies, but I can't help myself: if Ford designed a Mustang model which loses handling after 90mph, its a problem. If Ford recommends this models' owners not to exceed 90mph, it doesn't make it less of a problem.
Here is what I found out so far. It appears that in order to get smooth gameplay you have to manually reset "Custom Framerate Limiter" in the Graphics section of MW2019.
While under "Custom":
-Gameplay Custom Framerate Limit
-Menu Custom Framerate Limit
-Out of Focus Custom Framerate Limit
Set all of these to 300.00
Then set Custom Framerate Limit to Unlimited. If you just set it from Custom To Unlimited it doesn't work, at least for me.
Exit out the game
Next open MSI Afterburner. Go to RiverTuner Statistic Server and add a profile for it. Add ModernWarfare.exe and set Framerate Limit to your monitor's refresh rate.
Go to MSI A/B. Click on the gear icon for setup. Tab over to Monitoring enable the GPU graphs. Make sure you select "Show in On-Screen Display". For Framerate set "Show in On-Screen Display" to Graph.
Start MW2019 again.
The game should be a lot smoother now.
The problem is that using Custom Framerate Limit in MW2019 is completely broken and causes more stutter then in other games with built in frame rate limiter. In those cases gameplay is much smoother and offers the lower input latency as demonstrated by Battlenonsense. I only wish he would do a review on MW2019 and BO4 as both games have borked framerate limit which exacerbate the stutter/delay issues.

Can someone who has flicker/strobing issues with their VA panel test kb4577063 and let me know if their strobing went away? I just launched SWTOR, and not one flicker during startup. Not one. At all. :gush: I want to know why. (I also just updated Nahimic, but I doubt it was that)
I am finally on 2004 and installed that KB update.
HOLY SHIT. It's gone! The flickering is gone!
Yes!
I tested Discord which was the WORSE. It made it happen on desktop.
Mafia DE on loading screens.
And Overwatch also on loading screens.
All of those, fixed.
By the way, I still get problems with my custom Wattman profiles which are not applied properly on my Vega 56 from time to time. I need to alter some settings, apply them, and alter the settings back again and apply them again. Also after a restart, the story can repeat itself again.
I'd like to see a more robust implementation in the next big Adrenaline update. The same applies to other custom game settings (Enhanced Sync, Anti-Lag).

Sucks man.
Except for the custom game settings, which won't revert to the global profile. Global profile Undervolt, custom fan profile, power target, etc works fine and sticks between restarts.
I have luck as it's working just fine for me since 20.4.2
You should report the bug to AMD.
Thanks for confirming, and yeah, I know how you feel. 😎
I don't know how such a thing cold have gone unfixed for so long.
It's not like a random bug that triggers once every a million people. It's something that plagued a lot of displays and configurations. :S
