Wonder whats changed from the 18.1.1 alpha. Honestly I have been running that and its be really stable. Only the overlay for Freesync, Ichill etc sometimes acts up and doesnt wanna show up. But it still works.

18.1.1 Alpha is very stable, no issues here. I hope AMD release it today since it's already on there servers, maybe they testing the driver one last time if some bug pop up.

From how I remember AMD needs the download URL referral to be to their website which has to be done via extensions, I believe DownThemAll had a way to set that information so the file could be downloaded outside of the AMD website but I kinda forgot how it had to be set up since it was a long time ago. 🙂 EDIT: HTTP://WWW2.ATI.COM I'm guessing.

Nice, I was waiting for it. 🙄

Really hope they improve the whole workload switching thing, really tedious to go from Compute mode to Gaming (switch to gaming on each card then enable crossfire), to then go back to compute mode (disable crossfire then switch to compute for each card).

Available now. 😀
Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 Highlights Resolved Issues A small number of DirectX®9 games may experience crashes or instability. Radeon FreeSync enabled system configurations may experience stuttering when using the performance metrics feature in Radeon Overlay. Protected video content may intermittently experience a freeze or hang during playback. A blank screen may be experienced while playing back videos when using Movies & TV player. Starcraft™2 may experience corruption in multi GPU enabled system configurations. Bezel compensation controls when creating display groups may be misaligned or have no functionality. Blank videos may be experienced when playing back videos in edge browser after the system resumes from sleep. Color corruption may intermittently be observed in Radeon overlay with multiple gaming applications and performance metrics running. The Radeon WattMan fan slider may intermittently fail to change after loading profiles. Enhanced Sync may not enable for game profiles in Radeon Settings when using Vulkan™ API. On multi GPU enabled system configurations Player Unknowns Battlegrounds™ may experience menu item flickering. CLINFO may report incorrect values in multi GPU system configurations. Known Issues Radeon Chill may fail to enable on Vulkan™ API games. Radeon Overlay hotkey may fail to bring up the overlay or may cause a Radeon Host Application crash intermittently on a limited number of gaming titles. Radeon FreeSync may cause stutter with Radeon ReLive Instant Replay enabled on some fullscreen games. Radeon Settings may experience a hang when enabling AMD CrossFire with three or more graphics products. Trimming videos may fail to create a thumbnail if the video contains non-English characters. Flickering may be observed on the performance metrics overlay when Enhanced Sync is enabled on some Radeon FreeSync connected displays. Performance Metrics Overlay may hang if enabled when cycling display power off and on. The "Reset" function in Radeon Settings for Display, ReLive, and Video may not work as intended when using Radeon Settings in certain regional languages. Radeon WattMan may intermittently fail to load profiles for Radeon RX Vega on the global Radeon Wattman page. A random system hang may be experienced after extended periods of use on system configurations using 12 GPU's for compute workloads. The GPU Workload feature may cause a system hang when switching to Compute while AMD CrossFire is enabled. A workaround is to disable AMD CrossFire before switching the toggle to Compute workloads. Package Contents The Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 installation package contains the following: Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 Driver Version 17.50.15.01 (Windows Driver Store Version 23.20.15015.1002)
EDIT: January 18th for the download file instead of the 16th? Interesting. (Driver signature date might be a bit earlier though as it usually is.)
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/209/209146.jpg
The .dll files appear to have both Microsoft and AMD signatures so these could be WHQL. (Though the AMD download page still has the file in the \beta\ folder path and the setup exe refers to them as RC2 but they are signed by Microsoft in addition to having AMD's .dll signature.) From the .INF file the driver is dated January 12th instead of January 4th (18.1.1 alpha.) and as listed the driver version is 23.20.15015.1002 compared to 23.20.15007.2002 Aside from supporting some additional mobile type GPU models like the WHQL drivers tend to do compared to the betas there's a few other changes in the .INF as well. My demand for coffee just got multiplied by 3.
Hahaha. Took AMD a while to test the final build driver before uploading it to the server which is why a day delay. but going to install this now. yesterday show Jan16 but it show Jan18 odd, maybe it was a error or mistake on AMD side.

So after the adrenalin revamp where Freesync was finally working great, are we back to having freesync issues? Wtf?

Doesn't look to me to be a FreeSync issue, since it only occurs with ReLive Instant Replay and certain titles.

When I stop playing any game my screen begins to flickering and this issue not have in 17.12.1 WHQL only on 17.12.2 and 18.1.1 Sometimes when I stop playing a game or surfing on the net with Firefox Quantum and watch videos on Youtube my vega 56 will not idle and GPU usage and clocks may remain in high states. Sometimes Arma 3 and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare lockup my computer with black screen and high pitch sound playing continously. I have to restart my pc. Folks does have this issues? Back to 17.12.1

I had the flicker issue with 17.12.2 so guess I'm staying with 17.12.1 for now.

working without issues for me

"On multi GPU enabled system configurations Player Unknowns Battlegrounds™ may experience menu item flickering." Thank you AMD, unfortunately the last GPU i own of your is the X800 XT PE(you were only ATI theno_O). But glad you fixed this issue for customers, as .................... meanwhile in the green Corner(I am located here): Nvidia has released countless "game ready drivers" one especially for PUBG(388.71) which now, completely disabled SLI for PUBG. Then release yet another driver 18 days later which still ignores the issue. Here Nvidia advertises this game on the Geforce website for months, and still doesn't have proper SLI support. Hats off to AMD for making it right for it's customer base.

yep I also already see this behavior very strange 😉:(
There are two processes - AMD ReLive: Host Application and AMD ReLive Desktop Overlay, which start with Radeon Settings that trigger this behavior. If you stop them from Task Manager gpu clocks will drop down after you don't watch the video. It only happens on Firefox. I don't know watts up with these processes since I didn't install Relive anyway.
