Wouldn't really have expected to see 128 bit bus width again... especially with the outcries that usually hit scammy SKU designs by the green team.

32mb and infinity cache .... it really strikes me so wrong seeing em in the same sentence!

Those specs seem underwhelming...

32mb -> volume of memory "infinite" cache -> infinite memory volume amd seems to have some issues with logic and reason judging by their acts lately.

At least there's no more overhyping and underdelivering. Now we all expect RDNA4 to suck... imagine the surprise if it turns out to be actually good!

AMD was the one who developed the extra large cache technology to compensate for a narrow (cheap) bus width. The Green Team merely looked at it and copied the "innovation". Neither camp is going to let go of this smooth way to make the cards cheaper to manufacture, thus increasing profits.

Its not as bad as it seems, 128bit bus with 18gpbs memory is about 288gb/s , which is probably fine if its a replacement for the rx 6600 /7600, the real question is whether the prices will be obscene or not.

Depends, who can say that Polaris sucked ? The MSRP and perf/$ ratio was pure gold ... So focusing on mid range hopefully will be polaris2 ....my hopes are not that high though.

the problem is not the 288gb/s, the problem is the finite 32MB "infinity" cache . These people naming it infinity cache shows (at least to me ) what they think of me as a customer. In this case that i am a monkey and i am happy with a banana... 🙂

IF they price them right, they will sell regardless if they're fast or not. Get me a card +2x faster than mine for under 300€ and its sold.
