CONFIRMED MY SELF!!! 7800X3D CO -30 RTX4090 OC 32GB 6000MHz CL30 RAM I just reinstalled Win 11 with my ventoy usb. Entered Dev channel of the insider build and updated to 24H2. I ran Cyberpunk 2077 at the same settings I have ran the game at on 23H2 (latest official stable release). 23H2 was AVG FPS 185FPS MIN FPS 98FPS MAX FPS 201FPS 24H2 is....

AVG FPS 199FPS MIN FPS 107FPS MAX FPS 226FPS This is an insane jump for just a windows update. What the hell was Microsoft doing for all other versions of Windows 11? Everything needs retesting now because you can throw out all previous data for Zen4 & 5 and probably Zen 3 as well out the window.
Nice, I need to test this myself tonight.

No to little improvement in CB_R23 so I am not sure.
There is a clear uplift in performance in a lot of things. But I can imagine benchmarks not withstanding in most cases.

Basically Intel will need that extra 15% IPC to be able to get on par with X3D with this...

Impressive, especially the uplift in minimum frames. That's a perceivable difference. Oh I am very excited about the upcoming Arrow Lake benchmarks now. Might be that Intel can't catch AMD in gaming after all.

I doubt it has anything to do with the GPU. More likely a case of fixing one thing and breaking another. Wouldn't be the first time it's happened. There's a reason why developer previews are just that - previews.

I'd like to have a powerful and effective gaming Linux distro to leave Windows, I'm sure Microsoft will lower the performance again in Windows along time.

I doubt Microsofts goal is to lower performance be it how ever incompetent they might feel at times tbh 😀 they have nothing to gain from that. And Linux would be probably nice but it's too niche to be proper anytime soon apart from steamdecks which Valve has made good work with Proton. But native Linux gaming is just not there nor probably will ever be.

Can you pleace run a preset run with 3440x1440, so it's possible to benchmark with the same settings? 🙂

They have definitely done some pretty intense optimisations because Windows it self feels much snappier than before and I always disable windows animations, etc and I can still tell that everything feels very snappy, its almost as snappy as my CachyOS install which is pretty crazy. Also I got zero copilot apps preinstalled when I updated, the only thing that windows reinstalled it self was OneDrive everything else was as I configured it before hand.

I got the same effect when I disabled lua which disables uac so these must be related. There was something with lua that made it go slow af.

Interestingly enough Intel CPU's didnt get any boost in performance.
Well except in one game, where it did get some boost

Gears 5 is an anomaly becouse Ryzen also got a 35% boost in that game. I dont think that data is correct.

I haven't even disbled LUA/UAC and its still really damn snappy. This could very well be Windows 11's Windows 8.1 moment where they righted a lot of the wrongs with the original OS and eventually most people left Windows 7.
