Windows 10 build 10041 got the 15.2 (two) beta, so this one looks to be newer.
Walt, I have 10 build 10041 and do not have 15.2 but yet a newer version then 15.3 beta. Post a screen shot of your build info so I can compare.

Same D3d driver as the omega, this just new profiles or what?

Is the improvement I feel in Dying Light just my idea, or there is something there? Single R9 280x. Pls respond

performance decreased when crossfire enabled in farcry 4 at 5760 x 1080.. frame rate without crossfire 39 to 45 crossfire enabled 30 to 32 fps... setting all ulta except the nvidia game works enhancements..

I'm really suprised how messed up the crossfire profile for Far Cry 4 is. For al those who want the best scaling in Far Cry 4, use the battlefield 4 profile (BF4.exe). I'm able to play this game with a constant 60+ at 1440P. I have all settings on ultra (so no soft shadows) and i'm using volumetric fog and 2 x MSAA. I recently got two R9 290, but the BF4.exe also worked with my two hd 7950. Hope that this also works for you guys. EDIT: tested the BF4.exe profile with the new drivers and it still works: 60+ FPS.
no improvement.. the 2nd card doesnt work this way.. um running 2 290x... i think i need to upgrade the farcry 4.. didnt upgrade caz didnt have crossfire profile

If I'm not using crossfire, is there any reason to install the official ones over the press ones? The press ones are working fine for me as is.

Very strange. If i'm not selecting the BF4.exe i get 40 FPS and a huge stuttering. My GPU usage is also all over the place. With the BF4.exe this isn't the case.
with single card i dont get any stuttering.. 40 fps on average... ultra quality.. without nvidia enhancement.. i hope we will get rid of these problems with dx 12.. caz it will see 2 gpus as one

The press has had those drivers for a while. and there were some install issues (they were technically win8 drivers) You are better off installing these.

No mention of R285 fixes - not even going to bother trying these since every new driver since September's Tonga beta has broken stuff for these cards. Been an ATI/AMD user since HL2 but I'm not feelin' the love any more 🙁

When AMD add "Dynamic frame rate control" feature to their driver?
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/244/244624.jpg
R9 280x user here. Four months and we get a non updated driver release (D3D...), no VSR, no framerate limiter. Unfortunately, 2015 has changed nothing about AMD's poor driver release quality
data/avatar/default/avatar15.webp
I must say far cry 4 is horrible with this driver. I though crossfire should work fine with these but i get major slowdowns. So yeah wait 5 months and this was highly anticipated driver and we get this. Now I have every right to be pissed at AMD. Nonsense they gave us.

No, is not just your idea. I see aprox. 10 fps boost in Dying Light with a single 290. The game works like it should now. To bad I finished twice. That's the story with gaming these days. You have to play them 2 months after release.

How exactly can you manage to break something in Skyrim, a game from 2011? Also, as someone pointed out: when list of known issues is longer than the fixes, it's probably time to sit down and reconsider what you're doing.

The "CCC" program seems to be a bit smoother with this driver, doesn't take as long to initialize when it's first started and it's a bit less "laggy" or how to describe it, no other issues with 15.3 either so far but it does seem like it's primarily to add FreeSync support (With a Crossfire compatibility driver update planned for April.) though there are some fixes and a number of Crossfire profile updates too although a ~3.5 month wait is pretty hefty, hopefully future drivers will be a bit quicker with the bulk of FreeSync now implemented, or so I guess but who knows. 🙂 Haven't checked the app profile files (Don't have AtiPfx or what it was called either at the moment so I can't.) to see what else they've added to this driver but Kn00t will probably have it on his website in a few days or so. http://www.kn00tcn.net/site/ati-catalyst-profiles/ The D3D driver version number being the same probably also means there might only be a few small tweaks, focus is probably on getting the Windows 10 drivers into shape in time for the beta or what will come after these tech previews. (Would have been nice to have the framerate limiter in these drivers but that will probably come sometime in the near future hopefully, same with VSR improvements like hopefully a software implementation for earlier GPU models and to allow GCN 1.1 GPU's to reach above 2560x1600 under 16:10 and 3200x1800 under 16:9, reaching 3840x2160 / 3840/2400 would be nice but if they keep it to the GPU scaler thing it will require a newer GPU.)

hey matt, i have been down this road many times already 🙂 i have about 5 different user.cfg files in my "archives" some for direct3d some for mantle. used yours and it was performing as "well" as my other mantle profiles. guess those extra cvars like worldrender.motionblurenable "0" etc... dont do much at all. which leads us to the main problem again. the fps with the new driver and this user.cfg is the same as before. it runs @ average 100 FPS with peaks up to 150 FPS. on some cqb maps i even get average 150 FPS with peaks up to 200 FPS... i disabled crossfire before the test to ensure there is no problem with that enabled... also i have 0 ( repeat: ZERO) background stuff running. no antivir, no taskscheduler in windows. no silent cleanup. no w7 superfetching / prefetching and all that ****... and it is not the maxing out of the vram (see screenshot) as well as i am using the lowest graphical settings for the test. also i dont overclock... screenshot:
http://img6.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/20872/2087264614f5378b4957b3c33aaa76aef647df29.jpg
the behaviour is always the same... this happens every 2-5 minutes almost randomly and does not seemingly have to do anything with entering a wide area or something like that. or with moving fast. and when the CPU spike occurs the fps drop down to ~5-20 and any input is delayed, basically i am vulnerable for about 0.5-1 second. it also can occur that several spikes come after each other and the fps drop last longer... like up to 3-4 seconds. i have some older screenshots, they are from before the new driver but the problem is the same.
http://img5.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/20779/20779045515bd92b808b878746accb113f9dab83.jpg
also i dont know if it may have anything to do with the mantle pipeline cache. i once tried to put that on a ramdisk drive. but it didnt change anything. also i use a ssd, so basically this shouldnt be a bottleneck here. -> if i can do any kind of deeper traces i would be glad to help you and me with that. because this is certainly an issue which is pretty guileful ... letting you enjoy a game @ good fps almost 95% stable ... interrupted by CPU spikes and FPS drops every 2-5 minutes that make the game unenjoyable. thanks again for your time and efforts!! EDIT: oh yeah i am running fullscreen, but i also tried borderless (w & w/o vsync etc...) EDIT2: the fact that there is another mantle API and mantle driver version in some driver mentioned here in this thread that has a higher version/build number than this beta doesnt matter, or does it?
@amdmatt I also have the mantle fps (from about 120 to between 2 and 50) Very similar to user Vase With your config this occurs less often and the drops seem to be less extreme (only tested your config for a few mins) DirectX11 works fine without drops.
http://i.imgur.com/EA2C7pC.jpg
most spec info is on screenshot.
Thanks guys i see your issue. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the problem could be in that case as the usual problem we see is people using more video memory than they have available. That's clearly not the case here. It's either an issue which Dice will have to fix, or perhaps something else is causing it on your systems. The only other things i can think of to try are the following. Ensure your browser is closed down completely once the map begins to load. The browser running in the background has been known to cause spikes. Try running with everything disabled on your computer in the background, if possible. Unnecessary programs etc. Ensure Origin overlay is disabled before running the game. Ensure the AMD Gaming Evolved APP is disabled before running the game. Ensure any other overlays, TeamSpeak, etc are off. Update Punkbuster to the latest version. Delete Mantle cache files and BF4 settings file in my docs > battlefield 4 folder. Create new ones, lose your old settings. That's all I've got I'm afraid.

I don´t think, you are allowed to answer, but i´m asking though, AMDMatt: Is there any game, you think is working really smooth now, that hasn´t before with CF? Honestly? Name one. Perhaps i´ll buy that.
Which games aren't smooth? A Crossfire profile will not fix issues with games unfortunately, they can only do so much. Battlefield Hardline is working smoothly for me, so is Plants Vs Zombies and Battlefield 4. Those are the games I'm playing at the moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF67TgNCfjA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmdtRFJmOZc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bzz_PXNCMPU Anything in particular you're having problems with?

I was so excited for this driver untill I tried some more games. I tried ryse, Far cry 4 will test some more games now but so far horrible. We waited 4 months for this so please AMD explain all this please. Also can't AMD/Nvidia start suing game developers for not making sure games do perform well at launch
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/199/199052.jpg
That's all I've got I'm afraid.
I am impressed after 4 MONTHS
