Lets be honest here matt, how much of this negative crossfire scaling problem is actually on you guys? I can't expect Activision to make a proper pc port.

I want to have your babies please impregnate me NOW!!! :D :P EDIT: Installed beautifully thanks! Used latest DDU from website (guru3d and Hilbert are a little slow updated to new versions of DDU) Latest versions can always be found here http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/ Latest version as of writing is 13.5.1.2 http://s17.postimg.org/wk50xbsvz/Untitled.jpg
He's updating when i'm telling him usually. I prefer telling him when there is a version that is worth it. Probably 13.5.1.2 is tho.

COD:AW still performs like ****

What happened with the 14.400 branch from the opencl 2 driver?

I was thinking the exact same thing. They were still using 14.9 (meaning september driver) they basically skipped over 14.10 (october) and just went straight to 14.11 (november). This driver does improve performance in COD:AW but not much at all, the issues lie with the game itself. No way should a game like COD:AW slow down into the 40fps range in multiplayer. The maps are tiny, the player count is tiny, and the graphics whilst a step up should run perfectly well even on mid range hardware. The amount of lag, stutter, frame drops, poor hit detection, and downright sheer lazy coding makes the game unplayable on majority of the maps. BF4 Ultra settings 1080p 64 player servers runs 60fps on my rig and looks way better graphically than COD:AW

Puzzling, on a hardware enthusiast site asking about driver updates for 5 year old cards. AMD is a business, not a charity.
That is one the reason why AMD is struggling and do not have stock market or proper PC users.

Did not work for me. First noticed slowdown in BF4. Confirmed with 5% loss in 3D Mark. Back to 14.9.2.

So if I get a 5 year old NVIDIA card, I'm ensured driver updates that benefit (note benefit; not just install) that card?
U can check out Nvidia customer support vs AMD customers support in this forum,Nvdia forum so there is no need to argue because facts tell all. BTW HD6xxx is not even 4 years old that shows how much they care and love their user. Nvidia is properly supporting GTX 4xx where as poor HD5xxx and HD6xxx user cannot event install new drivers and that is called boycotting ur own user.

COD:AW got a 40MB update and then a 6.1MB update and things have improved. I find it best to get into party, for some reason I have MUCH better connection and the game runs much smoother this way. Some maps still lag like crap though. I also turned down textures from Extra to High and put Shadow Map Resolution on Normal. Game runs a lot better this way.

They do benefit the card regardless as most optimizations stretch over the entire kernel. I have an ancient pavilion with an nvidia. Still installs the newest updates and did give me a huge performance boost in old games such as Red Alert 3. Whilst I do not recall the version numbers the update was from this year (2014). Whilst the game was slower with an nvidia driver from early 2013. The laptop itself being from 2008. And yup Manhattan (5xxx/ 6xxx rebrands) and Vancouver (6xxx/7xxx rebrands) Are removed from the inf file. Very nice AMD. Another example: AMD totally gimping the 5xxx mobility on windows 8.1 causing it to bootloop just a few driver versions past of officially fixing it after 3 years of waiting and then dropping support. Classy move. Edit: Maybe they are testing the waters with this. First the removal of all 5xxx and 6xxx mobility products from their web page .. Now they are slowly working their way into removing the desktop lines.

word...

This driver works better but not nearly 100% for cod:aw. I get 100% cpu usage and about 60% per gpu. How can this game be more demanding than BF4

Have you tested with Mantle ? It seems the Mantle Version is the same on this beta driver. I doubt they fix the mantle crossfire memory leak in BF4. I give it a try. But i feel that my patience with AMD comes to an End. After over 10 years using AMD GPU/CPU´s i am nearly done with them. Tired of being third grade gamer. They promote AMD GPU´s with Mantle and BF4 and it simple dont work out. The Memory leaking is so blatant. First it eats the Vram then it eats up the System RAM and you end with stuttering 5 fps in Game. I think they simple dont care. Time to buy a GPU from the Pros @ Nvidia.
If AMD continue to release somewhat useless drivers and not supporting mantle then I see that they will loose almost 50% of their customers. Once nvidia releases new graphics cards after 900 series i will make my move back to them. With dx12 coming out mantle can kiss my hairy ass goodbye.

I agree ! if they don't fix the memory leak in BF4 using Mantle before Christmass, my next GC will be a nVidia !

You know guys, threatening posts here about buying Nvidia cards won't get you anywhere.

Uh, minor tweaks for two games? That's it, really? I am starting to think they don't care about the black screen bug, which is much bigger problem than performance in a random game. Starting to lose faith here. Meanwhile, stuck with 14.4 with my 290.

Yeah really... fix the god damned memory leaks. Do you hear us, AMDMatt? Please tell your people... it's a great product, but it's literally completely unusable. And Direct3D multithreaded drivers are simply better with Nvidia at this point.

Then after they've bought their Nvidia cards, they'll be getting rid of those, and will then have to get a console, as there is no other GPUs to get.
