How do you get CCC to work with this driver? under custom install CCC is not even listed as an install component. (windows 7 64) Would love to test these but they are no use to me without CCC. 😕
they are there, try custom install.

errrrr.. whats 3dmark11 basic? those dont look like firestrike default 1080p numbers... i get 6709/3354 reg/extreme.....
3DMark 11 Basic is the free version of 3D Mark 11. It comes with only one preset and you can't customize the settings of the bench.

3DMark 11 was the 2011 benchmark released by furturemark. The one you are talking about is just called 3DMark, dubbed 2013 edition. Two completely different benchmarks both DX11 though.

No worries, easy mistake to make with these companies failing (or refusing) to number their software properly!

voltages dropped back to normal...that was weird... Firestrike Regular/Extreme Beta 11 6709/3354 13.x 6711/3355 no effective gain. Sapphire 7970 OC eddition (non ghz/boost - black pcb) @ 1000/1450 1.175v Although they did finally fix the annoying HDMI audio popup.

no it's not, 100 points in any 3dmark is 10x times more important than 1 fps increase in real world performance for example.
More important for what exactly? Anything less the 1000 points or 10fps difference is considered random chance in benchmarking. When i see ppl state they get a higher score of 100 or 200 points in 3dmark i lol hard. A sys restart or defrag can net you plus or minus 5fps in situations, so anything less then a 10fps increase or difference is redundant.

Something must have been tweaked in this driver, I was playing Crysis 3 at Medium setting + FXAA + 8xAF @5760x1200, and it was choppy at best with the 13.3 B3. But with this driver, framerate improved a smidgen, but the weird part is, it's smoother.....even with framerate hovering at about 25fps, it's not laggy nor do I see any micro-stutter.....weird I tell ya.

Grey BSOD usually caused by unstable memory clock. Try decrease it?

Given you're running CFX, is it possible this is the first driver with that timing fix associated with multiple GPUs that everyone's been discussing recently? The end result you've described sounds exactly like that... lower framerate, but smoother overall. Sadly, I can't think of any games that really exhibit microstutter... at least, none that weren't at least partially improved by RadeonPro's Dynamic Framerate.

Nice... I was pretty sure the 13.4 whql was close... And I just downloaded the uninstall utility. Meanwhile, I went back to Windows 7 and only this unofficial for 7790 has been installed so far. As it seems it's gonna be a solid driver -I wish. I'm gonna stay for long time with this. Also, the 13.1 that Windows Update is offering has buggy clocks; I mean, the card stays at 501Mhz. About time to be fixed.
