hey guys, does assassins creed 3 run any better on these drivers? i get low fps on every setting.

support for the 7790, nothing more - confirmed by thracks. all the people claiming it performed better were experiencing a placebo/being trolls.

for the 13.x yes. These ALSO support 7990 ASIC, have advanced driver revisions, and are full WHQL.

the april 16th driver was basically beta3, with 7790 ASIC added. there wasnt anything new in it, other than the compile date. Per AMD. id use beta3 for camparison, not 13.x

? are you referring to 13.x? or 13.4 WHQL? i was rferring to 13.x as not being different from 13.3beta. An AMD rep flat out said the only change was adding the 7790 ASIC in 13.x

I'm not referring to that driver, I'm referring to the 16 April driver compared to this one 🙂 .

? THAT driver is the april 16th driver, also called 13.x The apps being older in 13.3beta3 is irrelevent as they would all need to be recompiled for the new ASIC in 13.x.

well, that makes sense as this was submitted to MS on March 28th, and 13.x was compiled after that. But again, the fact that 13.x is newer is irreverent, its just a compile date. AMD has said there is no difference, either accept that or dont. My original statement was the beta3 was a better driver for comparison rather than 13.x, as the newer app dates are irrelevant.

They are generally distributed to reviewers before they are put up. Thats usually where the leaks come from. Notice they are zipped, not an .exe Thats how you know they arent the final packaging, because thats how they send them to testers.

nope, it was posted tentatively by a beta tester. for all we know this 13.4 may well be the driver he was talking about, though i doubt it.

Yeah it wasn't Thracks, Thracks refused to speculate on any future drivers. The official word for the XF is still July 2013... I think the beta tester referred to some changes, but I doubt you'll see anything great until July... good grief it takes this driver team forever.

Awesome. Will download now, even though 13.5 betas are out 2moz I dont care. I like new drivers. Even though this was compiled after 13.x driver does not mean that its older in general and may contain more fixes.
