So are these suppose to be with improved latency in Windows8?

Thanks a lot Asder00. Compared to 12.11 Beta, 13.1 WHQL is a different minor build. There is an increased chance of more fixes/features (hopefully). 9.01.8 (12.11 Beta) vs 9.012 (13.1 WHQL)

We just use 12.11 cap 2 or is there a new one on the way ?

What about new CAP profiles? Anyone somehow heard something about it?

Just played BF3 half an hour and these drivers are the best so far. Now, FPS don't go haywire all the time, it's steady like it should be. Great!

NOOOOOOO!!!! DOWNSAMPLING DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE!!! I just tried setting up downsampling after installing the drivers and it tells me that it failed every time! Anyone able to get it to work?

Get error: "Driver Install: the driver package does not specify a hardware identifier" with HD5850 . Any ideas ?

First time I ever gotten "warnings occurred during installation" but everthing seems to be working?

I also got the same message. I am not able to choose 5.1 sound through HDMI though.

Hmm I don't use hdmi so I can't check that for you. But good to know I was not the only one with that message. Going to test some games to make sure everything is working.

Did you look at your log to see what the error was? This was mine:
Driver Install: the driver package does not specify a hardware identifier

Thanks a lot asder00. Downloading.

I have just noticed the same. I will try to post an update as soon as a fix or newer version of the downsampling utility is released.
This... and the HDMI sound issue... are by far the MOST IMPORTANT things that I need. I can not use the drivers without these things. I wonder if my HDMI sound issue is related to the down sampling issue also... Have all of you gotten the issues with installation warning at the end also?

I don't remember seeing any warning after installing these.
ok. 🙁 I went back to the 12.11s to make sure that the error wasn't there and that sound was working... and it is. So it's def at 13.1 problem. Hopefully it's a mistake they made and it's fixable. :bang:

Installation completed without error Seems to have fixed my 2nd display stuttering when watching a video and using the PC on 1st display at the same time 🙂
I wonder if this is going to be a 79xx specific issue... since it does say something about the manufacturer not being set in my error.

The new "3D Application Settings" page is better than before: http://i.imgur.com/FL4cF.jpg We can now see all the parameters at once without the need to scroll down. Thanks for the reduction of extremely huge "Blank" borders the layout had before. Also, the new way of setting an individual Application settings is much better too... it's in the same page as 3D Application Settings and now we can edit or correct these individual App settings just by changing the desired setting and it "save"! (Before, we had to go in the Profile Page to erase the profile we created and start over... or we could use the app settings as global settings, correcting it, then applying it again to the specified app... that was complicated)
Reminds me of Nvidia's 3D settings page back when I used to run an Nvidia card before my upgrade to 7970. That page was one thing I missed the most. Glad to see something as efficient deployed by AMD!
