Nice, OpenGL is a bit newer as is the CCC itself and the AVT thing, unsure if that means anything, seems to work fine anyway, just as the 9.0.1 leaked drivers earlier did. 🙂

WTF!!!! 3 versions of the same official beta in one day, worth trying to see if arma2 runs any better

Better performance on 12.8 WHQL in BF3 on 7970 CFX for me.

It is not detecting my GPU,but it is among supported ones in release notes. I have Win7 SP1 x64, Mobility HD 5650, Framework 4 is installed in my system, any help guys?
some are not supported, who makes your lappie?

These drivers and the CCC seem to be working just fine on My HP 4077cl lappie with switchable graphics (a Radeon HD 5000 graphics card plus an Intel HD card). :)

Driver installed fine, but CCC is not opening. I already tried to uninstall CCC, reboot and install CCC again. But I luckily don't really need CCC 🙂

Going to see if I can get these installed on my 5870M, doubt it since other mobility 5000's are having trouble. Will be back later.

CrossfireX is completely broken for me in this set. I've tried the .NET 4.0 version and the normal version and both when entering any game with CrossfireX enabled, Windows Explorer crashes, and the game black screens. After disabling CrossfireX games launch properly. :edit: reported the issue on www.amd.com/report 12.8 WHQL is working fine so far with the 12.9 CAP1 profiles

Same Mobility HD 5650 issues that plague everyone else it seems... Driver won't install... same with the 12.8 mobility version - but i managed to force-install them through device manager after a horror-show of BSODs. Can't do that with the 12.9.... Anyone with a solution?

5650 mobility in only supported on AMD PowerXpressâ„¢ enabled notebooks using AMD chipsets ...WTF does that mean? :\ Is this the cause of the issues?
data/avatar/default/avatar14.webp
Nice find, i didn't see that anywhere. "PowerXpress Available on mainstream mobile IGP chipsets (AMD M780G and M690), the PowerXpress technology allows seamless switching from integrated graphics (IGP) to discrete graphics on notebooks"
I guess this leaves the HP pavilion/envy/ notebook users out in the cold eh? Don't believe they would remove support for 5650 mobility just like that... it must be some-kind of an issue. I did file a report about this problem, but i don't expect much from ATI's support :grab:

Asder, AMD released 2 variations of the 12.9 beta. One supports .Net 4 while the other doesn't. Any real reason to prefer one over the other?

These have the same nasty effects that all 9.x drivers have had thus far when using MSI Afterburner. That being this, It lowers core to 300 and mem to 150, even though I'm running dual monitors. So I get HORRIBLE flickering in web browsers and such. Drives me crazy.... I'm on Windows 8 pro 64bit RTM.
Must be a Win8 thing, as Win7 Pro works just fine with this set, and the sept 9th leaked set.

Edit wrong version .... sry Regards

Good question I was wondering the same thing, can someone explain why there's 2 versions of the beta this time?

Asder - Is CFX working fine in games for your 5850s with the 12.9 Official Beta + 12.9 CAP1? I've tried re-installing a few times now and I keep getting the Windows Explorer crashes when launching games!

Does anyone know if it finally fixes performance issues with The Amazing Spider-Man?

Not exactly sure what would that do they haven't listened for past decade I am pretty sure they won't start listening with 1 e-mail. Only solution is to develop own software and that is something I'm not specially good at, but no one will even consider it now since AMD tights up all ends to their software and blocks other methods of using features of their sold out hardware on top of that. Further more on AMD you actually have to 'steal' the information of their hardware to actually make it usable and then they either publish it or blame that you are a hacker/cracker that doesn't exactly sound like their usually taglines of 'be innovative with AMD graphics...'. (not saying this to AMD alone, have absolutely no love for any of the other large corporate crap they build these days just to force us buy new hardware) So, I don't exactly see your point here to pointing me out obvious to criticizing on their grounds last I checked I told some truths on AMD forum and I was banned the next day. So, only actual way to force AMD to do the required changes comes from people, news networks like guru3d to translate this kinda crap to 'English' so people understands that "feature now on this driver developed to people doesn't mean anything to you ever and it is an bogus feature which forces you to download extra 100MB instead for required 200KB driver needed for your hardware".
Wow, who sh1t in your fruit loops this morning? This is real life, get used to it... Why on earth would you think that a company that is beholden to its stock holders to make as much money as possible would do what YOU want? There is no way in hell you are gonna get this kind of technology out of a socially responsible/open source/green/mom-and-pop company. It takes MASSIVE R&D budgets to produce this kind of tech. That takes MASSIVE amounts of capital. Last time i checked, that sh1t aint free. So you are butthurt because you got banned from an AMD sponsored site for being a bag-of-dicks? what did you expect, honestly? Wake up, and dispel the unicorns and rainbows... you used to be cool twl, what happened?
