Acer? No thanks! 😛uke2: They never bothered to fix big glitch in settings menu on all gd245hq monitors. http://youtu.be/po3ma4M_WRQ

That monitor is certainly going on my wishlist!

I would never buy one of these ultra-wides without a close physical inspection. Too many complaints of bad backlight bleed which seems to affect ultra-wides more than other monitors.

Why would you turn Overdrive Off?

This looks amazing, and I can't wait until more companies will give us such models. Even though the resolution is a bit too high for me, considering it's 34" AND curved, it is needed, 144Hz and g-sync is a plus... now if it only were IPS as well. :giggle2:

I can't remember now. I think it was something to do with image quality.

Yeah i think it causes ghosting?

I just searched about it and you seem to be right. Overdrive causes Pixels to use higher Voltage to change colors more quickly, but the higher Voltage also causes the pixel to overshoot the target color. So the Voltage has to be reduced before reaching the target color, and that's causing the ghosting.

If it turns out that its 3k, and is 144hz and is G-Sync, @ 34" and has Vesa mount AND the panel is nice and clean TN, this will be my next monitor NO DOUBT My Qnix will need to move over 🙂

144hz with gsync and 4k then I'll be sold

Nice and clean TN? This is IPS and curved. Any reason why you would prefer a TN panel?

It's IPS? even better, but ouch i'm afraid it will be pretty pricey then. I hope it won't be more then 700 eu.

videocard people buys reflect on their real life. I love h ow AMD user always asking for freesync like asking for free stuffs. Scrubs will always be bottom feeder asking for hands out.

Only one reason.. I love my IPS, but I find the ghosting to be problematic.. Also there is definitely input lag that is noticeable. TN for that reason I would prefer.. Color reproduction for me personally comes second. I'm not put off from buying this though just cuz its IPS.. Just after owning an IPS now, I feel like TN would be better for me.

Can I trade my Swift in for this ? 😀

These new 144Hz IPS panels should have quite lower response times than the IPS panels running at a native 60Hz. Input lag? The Qnix has practically none (2-3ms). Are you sure what you're feeling is input lag? Are you running at FPS > refresh rate? I came from an older, lagless 1080p 60Hz TN and the Qnix is the same at 60Hz and much more responsive at 110Hz.

If these are new IPS type then maybe my worries are unfounded. I figured it was input lag as my older 27" Asus TN seemed more responsive, but then again I am using a different cable connection and different GPUs now then I was then..
