Actually GTA V first came to PS3/Xbox360 in 2013, so its 11 years IF GTA VI will really come in 2024..
Also knowing Rockstar it will come to PC a year later.

As a fan of GTA I'm saddened by how it was delayed due to GTA online in the first place. Same with Elder Scrolls. Disgusting.

Its because they wait untill all money they can cream from GTA V is finished. The product is dead so we can release new then milik it for another decade. This marketing strategy seems to be working pretty well for Rockstar.

Why is that sad? I would much rather buy a game once that lasts for a decade than to buy a game that everyone abandons 2 years later, where that game is basically the same thing as its predecessor but just different assets. GTA continued to get more free content too, and has a lot of mods. That sounds pretty good to me.

They still need create GTA V for Alexa/Google Nest. Then a Redux version, followed by updated RT. Then a Mobile version. And Finally GTA V released for Nintendo Switch.

Optimistically sooner than expected. GTA Online doing very well made me think it will come out in 2026, if not later.

Funny how gamers complain but buy any single shit that come with a little of marketing...If gamers wasn't dumb , compagny would have deal with us with caution and respect.

I too am a bit surprised, expected 2025 at the least. But given that the leaks are apparently like over a year old, they might have advanced quite a bit in development.

I don't either, but honestly, a lot of the missions in GTA are kinda boring anyway (in terms of gameplay). The production quality is excellent but the scriptwriting isn't so much. I don't think those of us who prefer singleplayer are really missing out that much on a new game. I probably won't be getting GTA6.

For me, GTA was always top-notch action comedy. It wasn't the story per-se that drew me in. It's the laughs. Only a handful of games ever made me laugh out loud. And the GTA games (especially San Andreas) had me in tears.
That's what GTA is to me. 11 years for a new installment is just silly.

Seems pretty accurate to me. I wish rockstar would of made another GTA game with Claude and Tommy, meaning GTA 3 part 2 or VC Part 2. GTA 3 and VC are IMO the best GTA Games. GTA 4 and 5 ugh, can't stand 4, the character sucks, the storyline sucks. GTA 5 all 3 characters are awful, the storylines are terrible, the character creation is the worse i ever seen in a video game ever.
Leaked GTA 6 i mean they have a pretty bad ass looking female character, seems ok i guess. I just wish they added proper character creation. I know people dislike the remasters, but I'm loving them. feels like a completely new games at times.

I really like playing new games I don't usually enjoy playing the same one over and over and over and over for years, unless it's Space Engineers... but that is a different type of game that is not story driven, it's like Lego where you build space ships and buggies and the like.
Rockstar used to release new good video games all the time but unfortunately now their Modus operandi is creating recurrent monetization schemes masquerading as video games.
Need I bring up the remasters and how it was a lazy cash grab.

It's (effectively) a day 1 purchase for me. I love the SP games. I never touch the MP side, always sounds too toxic for my tastes.
I don't expect they will screw up the basic GTA formula that got them here, but it's been awhile and gaming is morphing into areas that I'm not interested in.
